TUM TUM decision Thursday at 10am

Who have we for sure lost to an equal team?

We've lost a few to OSU, I'll give you that. But Michigan State isn't equal. And the way LK and staff handle recruiting, I don't think it's always easy to know who they've offered and who has a scholarship offer when they commit elsewhere.

TCU, SOUTH FLORIDA, SMU, LSU, TEXAS A&M, BAYLOR, just to name a few. But we got Jarion Henry to commit.

It will NEVER end!!!

:ez-roll::ez-roll::ez-roll:

Which is why I hope OU leaves OSU behind come the next round of the conference swapping. I don't think it will happen, but it would be hilarious.

I don't think we were actively recruiting all of those kids.

And I'll never hold it against our staff when a kid chooses to "stay home" (TCU).

It really is hard to know who the staff has zeroed in on or who they ever had a realistic shot with. A kid's offer list doesn't tell nearly all of the story.

People sometimes forget that Kruger gets them clean or he doesn't get them. Believe it or not or like it or not, that limits to a great extent the number of top level recruits available to him.

I did hear some recruiting gossip yesterday. It went something like this. They have two on their list that are considered "must haves". It wasn't clear or certain that either one of them have made their visit yet. If they get them, it is likely that will be the only two signed in the early period. It might be informative to take notice of who the three visiting recruits next weekend turn out to be.

I know one of them is a big from Texas. I wonder who the other two are.. And I wonder why they are only signing two when they have four available? Good info though, any recruiting info these days is something..

The comment was that they might wait on the other two till spring to see what comes available then. Kruger likes transfers.

I think mcnease and diallo would be our back up options to Lattin.

Maybe I'm naive about the process, but to me it seems a little unsafe and strange to rely on transfers.. Sure, if a great one wants to come, make room for him. But overall, recruiting HS guys and JC guys at least you know now who they are, you can begin to build a relationship with them, etc. With transfers, you have no idea who will be available, so you just hope that some will be available and then try to pounce along with everyone else? Don't they still have to be recruited? Why not identify your guys and get them for four years as opposed to two and maybe just one?

I think KS and LK proven track records for taking good kids via transfers and JrCo. A lot of the time you fill needs with these kids, but some are stars in the making. Fla, Louisville, MSU, heck look at wich St. they did real well with these kids.

I'm reading slowly as I go (while I can).

BC, I saw your post on Solomon. Looks like OSU and Tech are out front.

But with Lattin, McNeace, Diallo and Curry, that's still 4.

I searched the forum on Curry and couldn't find much.

Agree and in today's NCAA world that means we are at a huge competitive disadvantage.

Romero worked out pretty well and M'Baye did a lot of good things last year. Not happy he left but can't deny his production

True. But I'll take that over doing things the wrong way and getting caught with your pants down, or bringing in recruits with character issues. I still remember what that was like three years ago, and I'll bet you do too.

I think we would all love to see OU return to the glory days when we looked forward to the possibility of a deep run in the tourney every year. Just not at the expense of putting the program in more hot water with the NCAA, or being embarrassed by me-first players who didn't give a rat's rear end about their team or the university.

If that's what it takes to bring in the nation's top recruits, count me out. I'll take solid, high-character players like those on our current roster. If we're lucky enough to bring in an occasional BG or Romero, I see that as a bonus.

Guard isn't a HUGE need in this class. We do probably need one solid guard, but that would suffice. Depending on how you characterize Cam, we really aren't losing a guard for another what, two years? Three actually, I think. Just something to keep in mind.

Seems to me and the staff that Bigs are the main targets. If they could've got a big fish at the guard spot, it would've been a bonus.

I think we lead on Mitchell but his folks are OSU people and are pushing him there.
