TV today vs. North Texas

Don't know much about them other than they are winless. I always prefer to see the teams I root for play other teams that are equal to or perhaps a little better than them, even if it means an occasional loss. Same with football too. I don't get much satisfaction in routs over the have-nots of the athletic world. But sometimes the have-nots will surprise you and give an outstanding effort and make it a competitive game.

UNT had 23 turnovers in the first half - and about half of those were completely unforced. Also they don't seem to share the ball well and turn it over when they try. They mostly just try to drive the basket as individuals. They seem pretty athletic though and have good hustle.

IMO, Treece should have had more PT in this particular game. UNT has two big interior bangers and Treece seems to like to bang with the best of 'em.

First time to see the OU women, I know its early in the year but this is some of the worse basketball I seen.

No Maddie today and I can't see her on the bench??? What's up?

When I tuned in at 11 I thought I was going to watch two Division 1 women's basketball teams playing, instead I got two 5th grade teams. 68 turnovers between the two teams. An OU team that had no clue how to beat a press, even after their coaches explained it to them at each available time out. I couldn't understand how the Sooners could play so well the last fourteen minutes of the first half, then come out the second half and absolutely forget how to play basketball. I guess Kohl's must have had a hell of a sale on women's shoes, that the girls went shoe shopping instead of playing basketball and finishing the game in the second half. The only two kids that played the whole game and decided to stay away from the shoe sales were Nicole and LaNesia. Nice games from both of them. Peyton eventually came back after she made her shoe purchases. Really ugly game, and disappointed in the team for their lack of concentration, and lack of solid fundamentals in this game. They have their work cut out for them in their next three away games. Let's hope they can get it together.

My wish list is: Maddie get well and clear the fog from her head. McKenna get more playing time, she may not be fancy, but she is solid in the post. Finally, Nicole Kornet needs starting time and more playing time. That kid has been absolutely solid and in focus for all seven games this season.

Certainly agree on Nicole Kornet. She and Sharane have been our best players so far and give us the best opportunity to compete on the boards.

Our starters had 21 of the 31 total turnovers. Whether Sherri wants to or not, she's going to have to clamp down on people who turn the ball over excessively or we are going to lose several games we should win.

And you think thats going to happen? I think you said this last year. This is called Stoops disease. I make millions who cares what the stupid fans think!

No, unfortunately, I don't see Sherri doing much about turnovers. I said the other day I don't think she loses any sleep over turnovers. T/Os already cost us the Kentucky game and we will see more if changes aren't made. It's Sherri's call. Either she will realize how silly turnovers reflect on her as a coach and how they impact close games and do something to reduce them or, she can continue to do nothing and her team will be lucky to finish in the top 5 of the conference.

I have been watching the OU turnover disease wreak it will since the year Stacy was to have played. It will not change because it is not a major concern of the staff whatever they may say. I've heard it too many years to believe that they are concerned about it.

Bummed I missed the game. How did Shaya look?

For the little time she was in, she moved up and down the floor fine, missed a corner three, and created a turnover on a steal. Right now she is outside looking in, I don't know where the minutes will come for her, but with this team you never know.

Doesn't hurt to have an extra big body.

It was a messy, tired, flat game. A game that said: We want to go home and we don't care. Coale's face on the sidelines said it all. She was so disgusted it was unbelievable. One of worst games since Sherri took over program.

Ortiz may be on the verge of losing her starting position, IMO.
