Tyler Neal... the biggest surprise of the class?

lol based on what? Who the players voted for certain categories?

on a serious note, I could see one changing their oppinion of hte team if Tyler Neal is another guy we have that can come in a contribute right away. If he really is the best dunker on the team then that is another highly athletic player we can put on the court.

I don't expect Tyler to play this year. I wanted OU to sign him and think he can become a good player, but would be suprised if we see much this year. Hope I am wrong.

Don't see Cade as a comparision, Tyler is really a different player. I think a better comparision is Ryan Minor or gordan haywood. Tall, good ball skills, can shoot, smart and maybe more athletic than he appears.

Who knows, you put a kid in the gym and weight room for a few months and let him play against great competition every day and you just never know how quickly the light will turn on. Like ABD I am intrigued to see what he will become. Thing I like about him is that he has a bunch of inside moves and can shoot from way out. We'll have to see if that translates to college.

I doubt he sees much court time this year except for in mop-up duty.

Despite the poll results, all I know is that Cameron Clark is an athletic monster and can sky to block shots and throw down sick dunks to the tune of Daryan Selvy. Get your popcorn ready if he ever gets a breakaway.

I think he'll get after Cam in practice and make Cam much better.

Lets hope it goes both ways. Even if he only contributes 5-10 minutes a game. If he can come in a spell another guy and score a bit or grab a board or two. That would be huge if he can do it consistently while someone else rests. There were way too many games last year when we looked dog tired the last 5 minutes of the game. Plus he has magical hair like Cade:p

Abd, did you never play a practical joke on a guy in college?? As much as our team is talented on the court, they are a bunch of goofs, as seen personally from the social events they have partaken in on campus.

Abd was born old. I don't understand his logic though, several posters said the players may not actually think Tyler is the best dunker and each time he questioned what they meant. As if college kids wouldn't vote something that isn't "truth". Then when someone explains it could have been a practical joke, Abd mockingly patronizes ksSooner13 as if he knew all along these votes are basically meaningless. So what was the point of asking why they would lie if he you knew they could?

That's what I love about basketball, voting is meaningless. Opinion is meaningless. There are a few sports like it where everything is totally fair, the rules are the exact same for both teams. You put your best 5 against my best 5 for 40 minutes, both teams stay in these boundaries, both teams share this ball, you put the ball in my hoop as best you can and as best I can I'll stop you, and vice versa. When the time is up the team with more points wins, and that's all that matters. If you never lose you'll win it all, if you ever lose you have nothing to complain about, those are the rules that bind all teams, deal with it. If voting ever decides anything meaningful about basketball I think that day I'll turn on American Idol and relax while my brain turns to mush. There's something absurd about voting for awards and caring about how people vote and who wins, I can't quite wrap my brain around it; as if the majority of people thinking something is best and choosing it would ever affect my own opinion of what is what.
