Since a scholarship is opening up, will we go after Tyson Jolly? I know a lot of people want someone to replace Thomas, but Jolly's stock seems to have skyrocketed over this past year. I always like seeing local kids make the team.

I have my doubts Jolly gets an offer. If he's really good, I guess it's possible.

My rationale is Jolly is a 6'4" wing. We already signed a bunch of young-gun wings who are chomping at the bit, and are frankly higher rated recruits than Jolly. 6'7" Dante Buford was a top 50 player last year. We signed 6'6" Rashard Odomes who seemed like a steal, and 6'4" Christian James who was rated the #1 shooting guard in Texas as a junior (didn't play as a senior due to injury). Are we really going to use the scholarship for another wing?

We've got 4 returning starters with the only hole in the post ….. and Buddy is leaning to coming back. We need a backup PG but have Payton Pritchard committed to next year when he can learn from Woodard for a year, and then take the reins for the next 3 years. We've got 4 post players who are are 6'8" or taller and really athletic.

My preference is to hold the scholarship for next year, but we already will have 3 starters graduating plus maybe CJ Cole (Kruger will honor his scholarship for as long as he wants it….. you don't abandon good kids with a 4.0 GPA).

This has been discussed already. LK said schooly would be saved as of now.

If Buddy were to leave, I think you defintely offer him. I haven't seen him play, but if he's good enough...offer him. You can't have too many guards imo.

if he is saving the scholly it probably means they feel pretty comfortable with what they have and that they think they have a chance at a player or players that are better than what they can get now......I'd still like to see them use it on a one year transfer if possible but they know what they are doing.

If they go for a transfer, I would rather have Josh Cunningham from Bradley. He started all but one game last year and led the team in rebounding with 7.5 and steals with 1.1 while averaging 7.9 points as a freshman. He almost committed to OU out of HS and just got his release from Bradley.

I would rather take Cunningham than Jolly if we can get him. JMHO.
