UConn won't lose to Baylor or anybody else unless they have a terrible off night.
They hate to play below their potential and they hate to lose. They are very athletic and extremely competitive.
Geno is like Wooden was. Attention to detail, every little detail. Stress fundamentals and communications. Move the ball around quickly 3 to 7 passes before a shot is taken. Minimize dribbling. Have a purpose for everything you do.
Compare that to Sooners. Players take possessions off. Dribble too much. Pass and dribble the shot clock away. Poor communication, driving into trouble with no plan B, no look passes to players who aren't looking for it either. Poor free throw shooting. Ball watching, We compete hard, especially on defense, but we don't always compete for rebounds.
Geno's players push each other. They often talk about owing it to those who came before. They push themselves, with Geno just reminding them they can get better.
No other team I've seen has this culture. It's why Wooden won 10 national championships in 12 years. It's why Geno is the greatest coach in the women's side.
Sherri is an excellent X's and O's coach, it's why we are in the Top 20 most years. But, as with Wooden, it is pretty clear no other coach is in Geno's league.
