"All fans sat in the lower level. The upper deck was closed off by black curtains."

Something worth considering at the LNC?

That makes more sense to me. The cheapest tickets available were $32 as opposed to $15 of years past. I was VERY disappointed in OKC sports association in their decision to go the OSU/Mike Holder route and alienate as many fans as possible with their ticket prices. So disappointed in OKC, I hope they create a similar event for the BOK in the future. I think it'd do well.

They've been raising those prices every year for a while now. Gotta pay for that arena, I guess.

The lower part of the arena was empty on TV. I was hoping the upper level had some fans in it. It is pretty sad that OU and OSU cannot fill up the lower level.

My thought was someone was trying to make up for revenue lost from the NBA lockout. I'm not sure what Ticketmaster's excuse for a $21 handling fee was.

21$ on a 32$ ticket? WTF. It's not like it's a Springsteen show or something.

My solution for the LNC is to forget the curtain and fill the seats with Sooner fannies.

Very weird considering Ticketmaster JUST lost a huge class-action lawsuit for misrepresenting handling charges.

Nothing misrepresented about these. They pretty much said they were going to add $21.00 to your order. I don't know if it was per ticket or per order.

We are so freaking stupid as a society.

You know how Ticketmaster goes away? Pick 100 events around the country and no one attend. Not one person and let the powers that be we are not willing to pay $21 a ticket to ticketmaster.

Do you have to pay that fee if you buy your ticket at the box office at Chesapeake Center?

I mean misrepresented as in, it doesn't actually cost them $21 to process your order.

They currently owe everybody who used TicketMaster between 1999 and 2010 $2.50 for every ticket they purchased.

Gotcha.

Considering that majority of the seats in the LNC lower section have a minimum donation. I don't think that will ever happen. Many of those seats are a 500 dollar donation per seat!

While I don't like the lack of attendance, it has been nice just buying a window ticket for 10 bucks then walking down to the high dollar seats cause the big wigs didn't show up.

1000 for the floor seats 750 for the next 6 rows .... then 500 250 ect ..

One time when a few friends and I did this we were sitting there centercourt like 3 rows up enjoying the game when Brent Venables and about 10 football recruits come right down to where we were sitting. Brent looked at us, and then at the tickets he was holding a couple times, before seating the recruits all around us. Needless to say, we got up and ran for it at the next media timeout.

Sounds like the security guys are doing a better job of allowing folks to go down at the first media timeout this year. Seems like in years past that fans have had trouble getting down to the lower level even if there were plenty of unoccupied seats.

Why if he didn't say anything?

I would have stayed. If Venables had sat next to me I would have spoken to him. In fact, I would have asked him if he or any of the coaches ever read all the BS on the internet.

Don't know about at the event. I know if I buy a ticket at a local grocery store that is a Ticketmaster outlet I still pay the fee. I know when I bought a ticket directly from the Chiefs there wasn't any fee.

I bought my ticket from the ticket office at Chesapeake. I found it today. There was a $2.00 fee on it. So Ticketmaster pockets $19 per ticket.
