Obviously they will be out of the top 25 now... but what was with the pre-season hype?

They got drilled by A&M... they got drilled by SMU... they lost to OU... Beat Vanderbilt by 4... and beat ND State by 10 in a game that was close throughout....

Obviously this isn't a good team... still a good win for OU of course, just wondering why they were ranked at all.

Because they returned their 3 best starters off an ncaa team. A lot of the time returning that type of core to an ncaa team with so many unknowns at other schools voters tend to vote a little too high. I wont go as far to say they arent a good team but at least for now they arent playing well. Florida has lost 3 games in a row as well and arizona did the same and to say those arent good teams overall would be a joke. The cavs were under .500 and some were ready to call it a season on them and then they Reeled off 13 straight. Lets at least get to 20 or so games and if they are 13-7 or worse then sure let's push the over hype button but at least give them a chance to choke a few more away. A&M at this point looks final four good but doesnt mean itll stay that way. Teams hit 'strides' at different points of the season every year. Usc may end up 20-12 and then you can tell me they were velastly overrated and id agree ;)

They seemed really careless with the ball at times. If they were not the outcome would likely have been different.

they were up there because metu, boatright, and mclaughlin are all 3 very talented players. problem is they are not well coached.

They will be fine. Tough non conference schedule for them. That was a very nice win for ou, one that will pay dividends come selection Sunday.

Lots of talent but looked like they were playing street ball at times.

In the past it seemed a lot of times OU would run down the court and jack up a wild 3, was nice to be on the opposite end as our guys stayed calm and ran the offense for most of the 2nd half. Then again having a PG like Trae who can break down a defender any time helps a lot.

Derryck Thornton, their PG, was also out last night. They're good but the FBI thing, which led to an assistant coach either quitting or being fired, has created a distraction. They're definitely a tournament team, IMO.

All that, and they had to play three really good teams in a row. They'll get right and be fine by tourney time.

When they get Melton and Thornton (Duke transfer) back they are a Sweet 16 level club
