Big news considering his hype as a recruit, but not really a big deal based on what he's done since signing.

The implosion in Manhattan is just beginning.

Wow! KSU is having a season like OU's last year. (I recognize this is a bad year for OU but we all knew it was coming)

I watched some highlights of him in high school for the first time a few days ago.

I had no idea Judge was such a beast. If that guy was ever properly coached/motivated he'd be another Dwight Howard or Blake Griffin. Too bad he wasted two years playing for Frank Martin. Hopefully for his sake he's able to change course elsewhere.

tough timing for him because had he decided to leave the team before the semester started, he would have been eligible Dec 2011 to play for someone. Wouldn't be surprised to see him end up a school in the DC area assuming his academics are in good standing- Georgetown, Maryland, etc...

For a kid with that talent there will be a long list of suitors. I always feel like the #1 job skill for a college coach is crisis management. You never know what you are going to get from year to year as far as off-court issues; academics; chemistry; effort in practice; having kids who can focus. The biggest key to success is recruiting high character kids who happen to have exceptional talent. But like Ben Howland has said, "You don't see many kids playing in the NBA who grew up in homes with 3-car garages."

Not implying that financial comfort and character have any correlation at all, but you get the drift. Stable homes and great basketball talent don't seem to be highly correlated.

They have the talent to finish in the top 4-5 of the Big 12, but I could see them finishing 11th because their attitude issues are snowballing. First they lost Freddy Asprilla, now Wally Judge.

Their situation seems opposite of our last year from a coaching standpoint because Capel may have been to easy on TMG and WW while Martin has been so hard on his guys that he's basically run off three talented big men in Asprilla, Judge and Dominque Sutton.

That hard-nosed yelling and cussing can work on a mature player like Denis Clemente, but doesn't work on every freshman/soph wanna-be superstar that comes through the program.

You were more on target with your first sentence. There's likely no correlation.

I remember a lot of people on here wanting Martin as a coach over Capel...I wonder how many still feel that way? Now that he doesn't have Walker, Beasley, and Clemente...that team has taken a turn for the worse. And next year w/o Pullen, Kelly, and Judge...They are going to be playing for the last 3 spots in the big 12.

I still like Frank. Doesn't mean I want him, I just like him.

At least our talented guys last year waited till the end of the year to defect.

he'll probably be like Sadler and BCG. Once he gets rid of the blue chippers his teams will probably be really tough to beat although they don't look good on paper.

I think its the blue chippers that have made him into a household name. After this year...his team will be like how Colorado and Baylor use to be in this league.

This is worthy of a complete separate thread. Kobe Bryant, Grant Hill, Blake Griffin? Anyone want to start this thread?

Three guys ≠ "many" NBA players.
OU's barely got 3 NBA caliber players in the last 10 years. Heck can you name the last 3 Sooners that started in the NBA without naming Blake Griffin?
