so often. HOw many times do we get the ball stripped in the lane and turn it over or make dumb turnovers? And what was up with our FTs tonight?

You're right, missed free shots really hurt.

Are you kidding me, 9 of 23 (39.1%)?!!! That's Shaq O'Neal numbers. Even our best free throw shooters shot poorly. It was like a contagious disease that infected the entire team. :facepalm

The missed free throws were a killer. We started out what, 0 for 8 or 9? That's awful. This was certainly a winnable game. We had almost twice as many rebounds and shot great from behind the line. But, free throws and turnovers (especially by the big men) really hurt us.

In fairness to Fitz, who did have 2 turnovers, the bulk of the TOs were made by Osby and Pledger, with 5 and 4 repectively. That's way too many for starters who are so important to a team struggling to win games.

Everyone got in on the turnover action tonight. Grooms had a couple bad ones, Tyler Neal got one in his 2 minutes on the court, Cam Clark had at least one, a C.J. Washington jump shot should count as a turnover.

I've never seen such bad free throw shooting. Reminded me of Memphis in the NC game a few years back.
