We should have finished 7-9

Do you not have thoughts, opinions, or feelings after you lose a game?

Why on earth would ANYONE want to come on this board after a loss? Who wants to listen to negative nancys ***** and moan about how a college basketball team is ruining their lives? I'll personally pass.

There seems to be an abundance of "clown posts" lately

Do you not have thoughts, opinions, or feelings after you lose a game?
Definitely. I usually discuss them with sane, calm people. That's the antithesis of this board after a loss. No good can be had by coming to this site. It's a shame, really, good basketball minds get drowned out by the people screaming the loudest.

Well, with the status of our basketball program, I'm not sure what you can find to discuss that is positive.

13-18, 5-11, no postseason for the 2nd year in a row, losing our best player to graduation...

You tell me, what positives can be discussed and by all means we can discuss it.

I didn't say only positives can be discussed. Pay more attention.

Kansas only program that's going to be better than OU next season? What about Mizzou, I thought they return most of their starters. OU needs better talent to make the jump to top 4 in the big 12.

KU, Texas, A&M, Mizzou are all better at this point heading into next year...Iowa State, Baylor, OSU, Kansas State all have better pieces IMO....looks like we're close to Tech though so there's that to look forward too.

Mizzou returns everyone except Justin Safford, who for the most part has not had a good senior season (just hasn't been the same, mentally or athletically, since tearing an ACL at the end of last season).

They will add Kadeem Green (coming off an achilles injury from his senior season, redshirted this year), Otto Porter (not definite yet, but all signs point to an MU commitment; Jordan Brand Classic guy, likely to end up ranked in top 30-40, possibly higher), and another player or two to be determined.

MU should be better next year. How much remains to be seen (HAVE to get better on the road).

A&M and UT will probably not drop off much. UT depends on who comes back. They have a few guys who could go pro but aren't sure-fire early departures.

kansas is in the same boat as UT. They'll be good, but how good depends on who comes back. I know their fans believe the Morris twins will return for their senior seasons, but I honestly don't see why they would. They're ready for the NBA now. One more year at kansas isn't going to help either one improve his stock. Robinson (based on his potential and his family situation) and Selby (based on high school rankings/potential) could also go pro. If everyone comes back, they're the obvious favorites. If everyone leaves, they could drop off in a big way. Too early to tell now.

And of course, Iowa State has a virtual NBA roster sitting on their bench waiting to be eligible (per the announcers for every ISU game I've seen this year). They had a couple solid freshmen forwards, so if their transfers are as good as advertised (probably not possible) they may actually be good.

ksu and Texas Tech are going to be awful. I have no idea what to make of OSU.

So this will be one of those lose your best player and get WAY better type of deals? Cade has been averaging like 23 a game over the last 5, keeping OU above water.

Apparently losing him and adding Osby = being the 2nd best team in the league?

That is correct. 1+1=4

Yeah, we loved it too when you were over here bragging about how Missouri was heading to the Big 10 only to be presented with the reality that Missouri is right there with Iowa State and Kansas State in attractiveness.

You better pray that Texas, OU and Kansas keep carrying your dead weight.

:clap :clap :clap

Other then inserting Kansas along with OU and Texas (regarding carrying conference dead weight), this post is flawless. Well said boca.
