Weather Problems For Tuesday's Game

With a winter storm looking more and more likely for Oklahoma on Tuesday with each set of model runs...how likely is it that the athletic department would just give out free GA tickets to Tuesday's game? ksSooner13 told me they might do that...

Also I'm assuming that they would play the game due to the fact that Baylor would probably get into Norman ahead of the storm.

You sure it's going to really do any damage...I spoke with my brother this morning, and he was *****ing about some model called 12z GFS (whatever the hell that is) and said it was looking worse and worse for any good winter weather this coming up week...

They've made some tickets free due to bad weather in the past. So I would say it's a distinct possibility.

:ez-laugh: Things have trended "better" for a possible ice to snow event since this morning...but this being Oklahoma...it'll always be a close call w/ winter weather haha. Personally I feel the cold air is being undermodeled (which tends to happen) and we'll end up w/ something that has fairly adverse impacts for the area.

I hope you're right and he's wrong, but as long as I've known him (all my life) and as long as he's been a meteorologist, it seems like he doesn't miss with our weather...but then again, he's always pessimistic for any good snow, so it's not surprising (even though I remember he was optimistic about the blizzard last year)...I guess we'll see...

Here's a good sooner memory: In 2008 when GIA gave away their tickets to OSU fans on that icy and snowy Bedlam day. I remember Patillo having some rather sickening dunks in the game, and Austin Johnson hit a few far-out threes.

My wife was 8 months preggers when I heard this... We live in tulsa and I decided we should stay home because of the roads... Man we should have went that night!

I'd say ice turning to snow...this is going to be a significant winter storm, I'd expect winter storm watches out tomorrow. I know up in NEOK they're already out.

Yep...my brother had a different tone today and actually sounded somewhat optimistic for some good winter weather, saying the 12z and 0z models look a lot better (again, I have no idea what these things mean)...
