We're going to the dance

Who knows? Maybe this team could get to the dance next year.

I don't think it's that far fetched. This season, probably, but please allow me to dream a little. :)

Capel is building this team from ground up. It's actually quite impressive from an ex-ballplayer's point of view. He's breaking each and every one of these young guys down.

It was ugly at first, and it's still not pretty, but I was talking to my pops and my brother not too long ago, and I told them that it looks like Capel is gonna teach this team how to play defense first, then the rest will kinda fall in place.

The rotation in the offense today was nice. They kept the floor balanced, and there was always someone slashing through the lane, trying to pick up an important screen to free themselves for an open shot.

Lot of work to do, but Capel knows what he's doing, and this team is improving much faster than I ever imagined after the disaster of last season.

I still dont think we'll make the NIT or NCAA but that doesnt mean we can't enjoy todays win.

But 7-9 is starting to look very realistic and thats more than any of us expected.

I agree. OU has 5 games that I think they have legitimate shot of winning (KSU, OSU, Tech, Nebraksa and OSU). An upest against KU, Texas, A&M and/or Missouri is possible but not likely (particularly Texas and KU).

If OU wins three of the 5 they have 7 wins and that would be the best coaching job Capel has done at OU (at least in my opinion because he had a great team when he went to the Great 8 compared to a below average team this season).

If OU does not win another game, I think Capel did a good job this year and should get another year if not two.

Oh yeah.. you've GOT to keep him around no matter what. Let him build. This team is not as far away as some people think. I think we'll be a legitimate tourney team next season. Maybe nothing more than a second rounder, but that's a lot considering what this program has endured.

I just enjoy being extremely optimistic. :)

if we were 7-9 I might dance in the streets.
