5-8 Sr G Whitney Creech
Western Kentucky is all about their five starters. Their reserves have played only about 350 of 1400 minutes, or 25% of the time.
Their guards can hit the three, but shoot it so little that it accounts for only 25% of their scoring (approx). Their leader in points and rebounds is Elgedawy. With Elgedawy and Abdelgawad, they have a very successful recruiting line in Egypt.
It is difficult to get an idea of how strong they are. They are 5-2, having lost to Louisville and Saint Mary's. Saint Mary's is not exactly a powerhouse, and they did play them in Moraga, CA. They killed WKy from three, and they managed six more rebounds. They also do not commit a lot of turnovers.
Their downside is that they have had mediocre opposition, at best. But, they are unbeaten at home.
Two problems:
we are not good on the road (yet?)
they are tall.

I expect this to be difficult simply because of Elgedawy. Her height may give us more problems than we can handle unless someone learns to block out. Otherwise, they are a decent team that we should beat in Norman. On the road? We didn't do well in Wichita.

While we are playing W. Kentucky, Wichita State will be playing Missouri State. That game should prove interesting.

Losing in the 2nd. Our posts are getting pushed around and do not know at all what they are doing. We look like a high school team out there to be honest. Same old same old. Luckily they are not very athletic and I don't see them beating us unless we have 40 turnovers.. it's not looking pretty right now, very sloppy so far. 15 TOs and counting

31 turnovers?!! Absolutely no positives to take away from this game. This team actually has gotten worse each game they've played. We might in fact when less games than last season! But, I'm sure SC still has job security. Who cares if our program is an embarrassment, right?
