Yeah, he can get a degree. But will not help him grow 2 inches.
What about Buddy's game will translate into the NBA?

I think can improve his game with another in college as well.

I think of Buddy this way:
If he gets a guaranteed contract, he could be in the league a long time as a bench player because he's got size, quickness, athleticism, and a go to skill (shooting open jumpers). He can defend and rebound, both of which translate. As a locker room guy, he would be great as well.
BUT
If he does not get a guaranteed rookie contract (1st round), then he does not posses a high enough ceiling (elite athleticism, height, length, etc.) that he will hang around with any team long enough that they will want to invest in him long term.
He needs a guaranteed contract if he wants to play in the NBA, and that means his decision should be predicated on that.
