What Should Our Starting Lineup Be?

those 4 with either lattin or mcnease is very interesting and would be our best unit on D

wish we had done that more this season

Agreed, but wonder how this lineup would fare when it comes to rebounding. Don't know the exact stats, but it feels as we lead the Big 12 in giving up second chance points

Lattin vs McNeace is all about matchups. McNeace provides more opportunity on O and is a great off the ball shot blocker. Lattin is also a good off the ball shot shot blocker and not a great defender but provides more flexibility on D. Neither is a good on ball defender but Lattin provides an advantage in my opinion.

For example, Lattin was able to guard Wade from KSU on a lot of possessions and he did a decent job. No way McNeace could do that. Lattin is a little better at helping on D than McNeace (being able to defend two guys at the same time) as well but, again, it is just a matter of comparing them because neither is a great defender.

Of the recent lineup changes I like them alright. McNeace and McGusty provide some options on offense and Doo brings a little better D. Lattin and Odomes can bring a slight improvement in D off the bench. I don’t like Doo in the game without TY in there though and prefer McGusty to always be in when TY is out.

I actually believe James would be the better option at guarding 4s. He's really strong and that leaves Odomes guarding the best perimeter player, just put Odomes at the 4 on offense.

Good call on CJ. I'd like to see Lon implement this. I'm a huge proponent of small ball in the college game, and would like to see us recruit guards much more heavily. Emulating what Villanova has done is the way forward for this program, I believe.

If we’re hitting our 3s, I prefer Lattin over McNeace
