Which recruit are you most looking forward to

Mine was manyang.. but his flaking out on his team is super sketchy and a huge red flag for me.. i have no expectations for him at the moment until he proves other wise

Odd deal for sure.

Indian Hills coach was fired yesterday. That after going 29-5.

Why would someone transfer before they have even had an opportunity to be eligible. These kids are not quitters. They are elite athletes that are highly competitive.

im not talking about one of the recruits. My comment was a reply to nutts saying wee will go 10 deep if buddy is back.

Does James film remind anyone else of a poor man's Willie Warren? Maybe it's just me. Similar size and body type. Maybe not as athletic as Warren.

Who is going to transfer? Walker isn't going to assume freshman take his mi utes. Booker thinks he is about to start. I just don't get people tat start random rumors.

If buddy stays, Frank will not start.

No offense to Frank, but I was hoping that our new recruits and Buford were too good for Frank to ever start. If Buddy leaves I was hoping for a big lineup with Buford at the 3. But hey, if he does start that will mean he's improved on a lot of his deficiencies.. More power to him!

I'm hoping Frank works harder on the defensive end and continues to improve his drive game. We need him to become a '3 & D' guy off the bench not just a '3' guy

and if he is never going to start, then there is a chance he transfers, right?

He's a good defender. Not elite but more than folks give him credit for.

I like Booker's potential. He needs to become more than just a jump-shooter of offense. His defense isn't as bad as some seem to think.

What a like most about him is intangible, though. He seems to have a quality that energizes the team. At least I see it that way. If he never starts, I hope he at least gets significant minutes because of that.

I agree with this to a point but he is our weakest perimeter defender and can get a lot better.

Definitely Buford for me. Can he provide some scoring and defense for us? He seems to be the wild card for me on how good we are next year.

Thomas has been really big for us this year. Our offense is not the same when he goes out. Can anyone come close to him for next year?

Also really hoping that Lattin can go the extra step next year on offense improvement.

I'm going to say McNeace. Judging by what I've seen at a few practices this year ... he's improving tremendously and is hungry. His athleticism is off the charts, and he is very long. If he keeps working, he could be as good as Lattin next year.

This is what has me excited:

Buford: 6'7" forward ESPN's scouting report describes as "long athletic and very explosive."

McNeace: 6'10", raw but obviously long and athletic.

James: 6'4", "strong and athletic wing that excels on the break where he is an above the rim finisher."

Odomes: 6'7" "strong and physical lefty shooting guard that can finish above the rim and through contact especially on the break."

Manyang: 7'0" athletic rim protector.

I know these superlatives can get thrown around a lot, but I truly believe this group of new guys is really going to add a lot to the OU roster in terms of size and athleticism. It's an exciting time to be an OU fan!

Walker is unlikely to get more minutes and likely to lose minutes. Frank has his moments but must get more consistent to really help this team. We need to have these guys improve or the freshman will have to be the top reserves.
Lattin will be more of an offensive threat next year.

I was at their practice for about 45 min today and, while still a ways away at this point, McNease has improved dramatically from the first time I saw him.

Buford year in college will be huge. Plus he had last summer as well.

Mcnease will barely play...if at all.

Do you really think McNeace will see C.J. Cole like minutes and may not play at all? If I was a betting man, I would make a sizeable wager that you're wrong on that one.

Despite the fact that D. J. Bennett didn't receive as much playing time as he deserved this season, at least IMO, he still averaged 8.0 mpg. I think Jamuni will average that and perhaps more his first season. I'm not saying he'll push anyone for a starting spot. But, I think some of you guys may be selling the kid short.
