Who do you think should start at the 4?

We've had Doolittle, Freeman, and Buford all start at the 4 this year. The latter two haven't been as effective as a starter, but I thought were great off the bench.

Who would you start?

I think I would start Doolittle. Freeman isn't ready yet to be a starter and Buford still hasn't broken out of whatever doghouse funk he was in to start the year. Just my opinion.

Good Question:
I think Doolittle is a star and probably our best option and should get the most minutes at the 4... However, maybe you start Buford there, but play Doolittle more down the stretch.

Similar to how NBA teams do it; Harden didn't start at OKC, but was on the floor in crunch time. That could be a bad example though because James wanted to be the guy.

Maybe Doolittle would continue to produce and then as Buford gets more and more comfortable there he will also produce. I think he has loads of potential. But Doolittle is a future star!

Doolittle, he rebounds the best and is better all around. Then you can either bring in athleticism (Buford) or shooting (Freeman) off the bench depending on the matchup.

This.

Doolittle has so much potential, I would give him the extra minutes to increase his development. Let Buford and Freeman compete for backup minutes. If one stands out over the other, move that player up in the rotation. The season is long and exhausting, so chances are good all three players will be needed between now and the end of March.

Doolittle... then Freeman and some small ball w/ Odomes.

Would love to see this lineup. Woodard, James, McGusty, Odomes & Lattin.

That's intriguing. Not sure how our rebounding would go, but kind of in the vain of what Nova was able to do last year.

I have no idea and that's the problem with this team. There are a lot of options and none of them are really standing out.

Gun to my head: Buford. He's a year more experienced and Doolittle has been playing well off the bench.

Doolittle.

I'd be surprised if there's many who would choose anyone else at this point.

I guess an argument could be made either for a smaller lineup that starts McGusty at the 3 and Odomes at the 4 or a bigger lineup with the twin towers of Lattin and McNeace, but it seems pretty clear to me that Doolittle is the guy. He's pretty good now and he's going to be really good for us later. Let him play!
