Explain this to me.

Why isn’t playing more than Simpson?

She has more of a shot than Simpson. She rebounds just as well, if not better, than Simpson. She moves better on the court than Simpson. She’s quicker than Simpson and she can drive to the basket, which Simpson can’t do at all. She can score away from the basket, which Simpson can’t do.

If you want a larger, slower 5 who is just a body to stand in the lane and clog the middle, OK — Simpson’s your girl.

Other than Sherri has her favorites is there any reason Simpson should be starting over Lampkin?

Lampkin played almost 20 minutes today. Her minutes seem to be growing. 10 rebounds in 18 minutes!! I'm with you - I don't think we can afford to have her on the bench.

I heard Sherri talk about Lampkin on her radio/tv show this week. She was emphatic that Lampkin is going to be a really good player at OU. She said she's made tremendous improvement throughout the season but fights going into a major funk whenever she makes mistakes and that the psychological/mental side is still developing. But it was pretty clear to me that Sherri Coale thinks Lampkin's going to be a player.

I agree with you - from an athletic perspective, there is no comparison.

I'm a huge fan of Mandy because she does all of the little things that fans don't appreciate, but when it comes down to it, there are some times when she's simply undersized and doesn't have the speed or quickness to compensate. She's not as athletic as Leah Rush was and doesn't have Leah's jumper.

Mandy gets the most out of her skill set. It is just that her skill set is very limited. Lampkin just needs to learn how to maximize her skill set with Mandy's effort and the memory of all all star cornerback.

I love Mandy, her grit and toughness, but same for Dee. She is slowly getting there. Once she learns how to finish at the rim on a consistent basis, she will be a monster. She has a nice 10 foot jumper and will just get better and better. She will be really good come conference season next year.

Well, I thinks he's already learned how to finish a shot better than Simpson and it isn't close.

Lampkin played well tonight: hustled on defense. She’s got a nice 8-10ft. Jump shot.

I think she gets more game time in the remaining outings.

I'm glad to see Lampkin get some time. She's still pretty raw, but there is potential there, I think.

Certainly more than there is with Simpson. I do credit Simpson with working her tail off every game (and probably in practice). She seems to be a good example of team work, hard work and determination to do the best she can.

We all said she was short of ability. However, if everyone worked as hard as she seems to, we'd be a better team.

It will be interesting to see how many minutes Lampkin gets next season with Bloom coming in.

I agree with you on Lampkin but I wish she had better hands or better anticipation of passes coming her way as she has far to many drops. But then that is not exclusive to Nadia but more of a team malady.
