It could be that I am not remembering the situation correctly, but it seems to me that for several years just about every game was televised. However, my perception is that over the last couple of years many games, if not most, are not.

Is this a misperception or are fewer games being televised? And if so, why are fewer games on TV? Hopefully, someone knows the true facts of this situation and can share with us. Thanks.

I certainly would have thought this one against the Horns would be on TV.

Directv has it listed on channels 668-2 & 676-5 @ 7:00pm. Looking at the rest of the schedule and it would seem they will all be on TV carried by Sooner Sports or FOX with the exception of KState in Manhattan which still might be.

Just checked and Cox digital is showing the game on channel 722.

I should have added that is in OKC.

Yes, the game will be televised by Fox Sports Net (FSSW, FSOK). Those are Channels 676 and 676-5 for DirecTV customers; I believe 416 for Dish Network users.

I believe the OP is right: fewer games televised in the first half of the season. But, even though Saturday's game at Texas Tech wasn't televised (not sure television has come to Lubbock yet), I think most of the Sooners' Big 12 games will be on the tube.

I live in Vegas and I get the game on one of the regional fox channels.

On Dish.....I get the Longhorn network, so it will for sure be on there. They show ALL of their games on there.....I thought we had a Sooner Sport network....Why are our games not on there???

I believe if it's on Fox, that is Sooner Sports Network. Our contract is with Fox, Texas' is with ESPN..

The game is on SoonerSports Network (Fox Sports) and not ESPiN. Usually, when not televised by national or conference network, the home team's tier 3 rights take over (for those schools which have them). OU's SoonerSports Network powered by Fox will be televising this game. The game is Austin will be televised by lhn, if it already hasn't been picked up nationally or regionally. It's looks like OU-texas in Austin is already scheduled for national TV on FoxSports 1.

I've scheduled my DVR to record the game, but I expect to watch it live. UT has a fine ranking and is a legit team, but they haven't been facing the fire very much. I view OU's chances of victory at home as very possible.
