Wichita - Tulsa

Was just about to post this. Had to rewind my tv to see if I had seen that right. Wish we had them on our schedule this year.

I was at the game... big win for TU... VanVleet was hurt pretty much the entire game. Regardless, nice win. TU played well. Makes me wonder when Haith is going to get called up to the big leagues again.

TU's got a couple of guys, Shaq Harrison and D'Andre Wright, who I think could play a role for a Big 12 team. So could "Juice" Woodard.

I really like Shaq Harrison. nice player.

Tulsa has NINE Seniors????? How does that happen?

Manning had to take a big class his first year there due to some attrition and then you add in a redshirt senior, a juco or 2 and a walk-on or two, you get to nine. Haith has his work cut out for him with this years recruiting class. I think they have a transfer redshirting this year who might help them next year.

I've wondered how Haith would do at Tulsa. He was fairly successful at Miami and underwhelming at Mizzou (at least in the post-season). Based upon the experience of this team and if Tulsa makes a post season run, it might be prudent for him to jump at a good offer. Next season (any maybe beyond), it's going to be a significant rebuilding period for TU.

You wonder if having 9 Seniors this year will make him decide to leave. I hope not for Tulsa's sake.

If you could prevent him from driving to the basket his offense practically disappears. His free throw shooting has been abysmal and the coaching staff tried to change his shooting mechanics in the off season due to his ineffective scoring from beyond a few feet.

Also saw, if I'm not mistaken, that this was the first HOME top 10 win for TU since 1986! Against #9 ranked Bradley in the Tulsa Convention Center. Great to see them get this one for their fans.

Really happy for for the cane!

Haithers gonna haith...

Haith might jump ship after this year b/c all of Manning's players will graduate and then Tulsa will start to decline just like every team that Haith coaches.
