I've driven through some bad conditions to get there before, but I don't know, this could be the mother of all winter storms. If you guys from Ok. City can't get there, I have no chance.

Doesn't OU have one of those systems where they can text or email all students in case of emergency? If they announce the game is free, surely one of you computer geniouses can hack into that system and send everyone a text or emai......:woot

Two things would be effective in my opinion. First get the greeks to attend. Second get the freshman to attend. Post free admission at the dorms (that will get freshman and greeks). Call all the fraternities and get the guys to attend. If the guys go, the girls might go too. One motivated person in each house can easily get 10 guys to show up (or they could back in the old days when I was in a house).

Remember UNLV in 1987? (I think that was the year it may have been 1986 but admission was $1.00 due to weather and it was packed.)

If they make admission free I can quickly make signs on my computer, print them out, and put them in the dorms...I can't guarantee they would stay up long, but it's absolutely worth a shot.

What about us students who live off campus?

Maybe I'll snowboard to the LNC from my apartment.......cut across the golf course or something and make use of those gnarly hills.

haha, you should play the role of taxi driver and go around picking people up and taking them to the game.

That is a great idea ! I can't imagine them letting peeps in for free but I sure hope they discount the tickets...

You can do like we used to back in high school, I got a ski rope and a vehicle that gets traction...

i can't express how much this blows. i've never watched a home game live on tv. i wanted to show these guys my appreciation for their win in ames. and now i feel like i'm letting them down by not being able to root them on for another big w.

Depends on the condition of I35. Got to be pretty clear, I want to make sure my 4 y.o. sees OUr rise from the ashes!

BTW, its thundersleeting here in S OKC...

No chance in Abominable Snowman's hell will I make it from Tulsa. We are expecting to get 12"-20" of snow with snow drifts ranging anywhere from 4'-8'.

Just a quick observation, since I was supposed (key word) to be at work at 5 this AM, the roads are awful out there...it's like driving on sand dunes, or a dirtbike course...covered with little speed bumps of snow...and they have not been touched yet by the plows...

I live in the country, and am supposed to start my trek into Newcastle shortly. Keeping my fingers crossed for a last second call from the higher ups saying don't worry about it. :D

Wow, it looks real bad in Tulsa.

I doubt anyone is going to be driving today.

Yes and tbh every other student that lives on campus should sack it up and walk down to the LNC as the storm will largely be over by 6 p.m. and school is almost certainly getting canned tomorrow & Wednesday.

Absolutely...students sack up and get your *** to the game.

Seriously. This should be a record attendance for students. There is no school. You can't travel home. They should all be there.

How can we spread the word to students?

Scratch that; I just went outside for 30 mins to take pictures and I cannot feel my ears. I mean I'll still be going to the game but with conditions today we're not about to attract the casual fans. :ez-roll:
