If we win @TCU Saturday, we're a lock. If we had not lost @UT, we would already be locked.

Then we can focus on playing for seed and getting Buddy acclimated for the tourney.

We're a lock.

don't think so ... we are already in ... lose to tcu and isu and we are still in

You guys are being way too optimistic. Some of those bubble teams are going to win some big games in champ week.

Agreed.

I think we'd "probably" still get in with a loss to TCU and ISU, but we'd definitely be on the bubble at that point.

All this talk ends on Saturday. Beat TCU, and we're in no matter what happens in KC.

I might be nervous about the TCU game because our starters might be coasting. But Lon should be able to put the second team in and still beat them. But I will be glad when we seal the deal.

I keep thinking that, but barring maybe the first ISU game, I don't think I've seen a game yet where the guys didn't look like they were ready to play from the get-go.

Our first matchup against TCU was 2 days after that big Kansas win, and we came and pushed their faces into the ground right out of the gate.

You're right. We are a top 10 team in the first half of games...it's too bad we have wilted defensively down the stretch so many times. That's what scares me: after UT I won't feel comfortable with any game until the buzzer sounds.

Perhaps you are right, but many of us (myself included) will be sweating it out on Selection Sunday if we lose our last two games and hope 20-11 gets us in the Dance. If we beat TCU, I don't think any of us will be worried about winning a game in the conference tournament to get an NCAA bid.

This is how I see it, though could be wrong.

20 wins: bubble (no higher than a 10 seed)
21-22 wins: 8/9 seed
22-23 wins: 7 seed
23-24 wins: 6 seed

Strange things can happen on the road. The OU seniors need to play like every game is an elimination game. Don't even give the "committee" a chance to second-guess OU's tournament worthiness.

Play hard. Play smart. Beat TCU.
