Per Houck....

Roughly 5,000 NCAA Division I MBB players and @OU_MBBall's Jordan Woodard (54.1) and Buddy Hield (51.7) rank 1st & 2nd in 3FG%. #Sooners

Wow, that's very impressive.

Looking up the stats I see Woodard 4th and Hield 8th.

UVA has a guy shooting 54.9%, so they're not even first and second among power 5.

Buddy has attempted WAY more than anybody in front of him though. Like 60% more than thee next closest.

Two Sooners in 1st and 2nd place in three point shooting percentages? I remember when we would have been thrilled to have just one in the top 25 or so. Great job, Buddy and Jordan!

Spangler is tied for 43rd in total rebounds. Lattin is tied for 34th in blocked shots. It should be noted that there aren't more than nine or ten players from power conferences ahead of Khadeem.

Thanks for posting, oudna!

And in the Big 12 we have 1, 2, & 4
Ranked guys in 3pfg%. Pretty awesome. And Buford would be top 5 as well if he had enough attempts as well as Spangler.

Still a lot of season left, but easily the two best 3 point shooting seasons as of now in OU history.

And that is saying something.

Be interesting to see where they end up, but neither shows much signs of cooling off.

Why isn't Cousins ranked in the top 50? OU shows his three point percentage as .423. That would be 47th? I don't even see him listed at all.

Outlined above. Need to average at least 2.5 makes/game to be on the official list.

Regardless of how you look at it, what OU's shooters are doing is really amazing. On most teams, a guy shooting in the upper 30s is a pretty good shooter, and anyone in the 45+ range is considered a sniper. Tim Heskett set OU's all time percentage record in 1999 shooting 47%. Guys like Kelly Newton and Michael Neal were considered shooting specialists and "only" shot 43 and 42 respectively during their best seasons. To have 3 guys (starters no less) shooting those kinds of percentages with that kind of volume is unreal.
