Isaiah's four turnovers aside, if Kruger's "experiment" works as well as it did in last night's game, I'm all for seeing it continue! What difference does it make if we see Woodard or Cousins as a point guard or a two guard? The goal is to win as many games as we can.
Besides, who says teams have to win with a conventional lineup? Some of you may remember Villanova's four guard lineup in 2005 or 2006, if memory serves me right. You should. OU lost to them two years in a row. Yes, at least three of those guards were really special. But that doesn't change the point I'm trying to make.
I said in another post that I'm still not sure if playing Cousins at the point is the right thing to do. But, I'm not going to pretend that I know as much or more about coaching than Lon Kruger. If last night's game can be used as a barometer for what lies ahead for this team, I'd say the experiment is working pretty darned well.
