Sorry but with a 20 point lead and everything that was riding on this game, this is the worst loss in the Lon Kruger era by far!
Creighton was worse. ISU is a different animal.
The Creighton game meant nothing. This game meant the entire conference.
By far.
And this one is on Kruger.
The lack of adjustments on defense in the second half was absolutely inexplicable. If they're going to just iso all half, you can't keep putting 6-2 guards on 6-9 Niang possession... After possession... After possession.

What a waste of a season to let an undisciplined player ruin it for us with trash talk. The sad thing is he knows better and has been playing great, but in one comment went all the way back to his Freshman days.
Guess my expectations are different then, I think it's pretty clear this team is what it is at this point for better or worse. This isn't the first time ISU has done this on their home floor against us and a ton of other really good teams.
Two points! The Cousins T cost us TWO POINTS.
The whole team let the next 20 consecutive points without us scoring one happen.
This is their biggest comeback in 30 years.
can't solely blame him, but it was his T that got it started, and then he kept getting exposed on defense by Niang. Also the offense went into the worst drought of the last decade it seemed
Sure it is but ISU at home is a great team. We have given up some terrible leads in games over and over and you had to know ISU was coming regardless of Cousin's T or not. It sucks but given our overall play this year and our lack of toughness in close games and games on the road I just don't think we should be that surprised at what happened.
Niang has 3-4 inches and 40+ pounds on Cousins. Are your surprised he could take him by manhandling him?

No, I was surprised at the lack of a ****ing adjustment. ISU made one at half, we didn't counter, we got exposed as individual defensive players, and we give up 59 second half points
