in a long time. Clark got bodied and hammered all the way down the lane and "NO CALL???" All they have talked about is the new priority and not allowing contact and then with us down 2 and Clark getting hit no call. Sad sad deal and AT OU no less.

Clark initiated that contact with the body. Assuming the LT player didn't get his wrist (I couldn't tell), I have no problem with that being a no-call. We have to do better than that.

With the way that game was called that was an absolutely terrible call. Odd time to finally allow contact.

I have no problem with the call as well because Clark initiated the contact and the defender stood his ground.

WT, it was 100% a foul. The LT player was moving all the way and bodying him all the way down the lane - can't do that. Tubbs and Carpenter agreed they were shocked with the no call. Call it when it's there refs.

Should have been a foul. That was the point to the rules changes this year and has been called all year. But cam has to be stronger than that as well.

Woodard 8 turnovers 2 assists. You aren't going to win too many with that ratio from your point guard.

The rule changes, if that is what you want to call them, had nothing to do with that play. The defender didn't use his hands.

WT, you don't have to use your hands to foul silly. If you are moving along side some one driving the lane, you can't bump them all the way down. I'll take Tubb's opinion over yours any day.

And Clark should make the ESPN top 10 plays for his shot at the end of regulation.

Please keep up. My comment about the hands was in regards to the "new rules". They didn't come into play. Those rules have to do with hand checking, and drawing charges.

The defender did not bump him all the way down. That is a ridiculous description. And there is no way Tubbs had a clear view of that play. He was simply reacting to Clark's reaction. Nothing more. The defender is allowed to slide alongside Clark as he drives. He doesn't have to "give ground" if he is even with Clark. Clark is the one that leaned in and created the contact. And there really wasn't much contact at that.

WT, we will agree to disagree, but I'm right, lol. Tubbs AND Carpenter were commenting on the video replay right in front of their face. And NO NO NO the defender is NOT allowed to bump him like that. Been watching b-ball for 53 years and that has never been allowed. I have the game DVR'ed if you would like to watch it again, he DID bump him 5 times as he drove (I have watched it several times now). Also, their player that put in 30 points got that call 4 different time tonight on the same exact play against OU. Hmmmmmmmm

If you consider what they had been calling the entire game, it was a stupid non-call.

They were both hitting each other with the body, with neither giving ground. The way they have been calling that this year is no different than in previous years. You cannot continue down the lane beside the dribbler with both of you making contact without there being a foul. That has always been called as impeding the progress since the defender never establishes position. Exactly when did the defender in this situation establish position? Since they were both moving, the defender never had a position to establish. It was a rather blatant non-call under the circumstances.

In the context of this game, they were giving the edge to the offensive player all night long. Did they ever call a charge? There were several charges that I saw, but all were called blocking fouls.

I thought the blocking foul called against Clark was a more atrocious call. It was a charge.

Exactly....some of our fans can whine about the refs/calls all day, but our offense suffered tonight because our PG didn't play well.

Absolutely! That was a momentum-killer. OU's up by four at the time and all kinds of good mojo. If they called it right, I don't think OU loses. I was at that end of the court, and I was shocked they called it a "block." :facepalm

What was the deal with all the 'NBA-type continuation' calls? Both teams seemed to get them, so I don't know that they benefited one team over the other, but they were strange. Was that officiating crew auditioning for NBA jobs?

I think the foul would have been called if Cam would not have lost the ball. I think even if he would have thrown up a wild shot there would have been a foul called. That seemed the MO of the officials tonight. They allowed contact on drives until a shot attempt was made, then they would call it and call the continuation as well.
