Drew is a bad gameday coach, a bad gameplan coach, and a bad developer of talent, but somehow a great recruiter.

One does have to wonder. How does Scott Drew draw elite talent to Waco, TX and a program that has no real history of success, and was on death's door when he arrived? Is he really that good at it, or is it something else?

There are always rumors, but nobody has produced any allegations that have any weight to them.

But, sometimes, if it smells like a dead fish, you don't have to find the actual dead fish to know it's there. Either Drew is the best recruiter that ever lived, or there is some serious payola going down.
