We are a 5A team (but have 4A numbers and will be moving down next year).

We currently sit 1-8 in our district schedule and we are #8 out of 9 teams.

5 Of our district losses are by 1, 1, 1, 6 and 8

We are literally 18 points from being 6-3 in district instead of 1-8. We have INVENTED new ways to lose.

Funny, I thought the other day...half the board would've called for my head already.

We are actually 2 years removed from the first 20 win season in 26 years here....that was my first year here...then we moved up a class and its been a struggle. We compete but can't get over the hump. Moving back down will help tremendously.

But seriously, tough losses and that is rough, especially with the uptick in competition. One of my best coaching seasons was with a group that no one picked and we ended up winning 2 games out of the 10. One against the best team and it was the best feeling. Basically played an deep 2-3 zone and let them shoot us out of it, they didn't. (Very South Alabama I would say)

We aren't really athletic enough to run man at our level. We run multiple zone looks and hope we don't get shot out of it but we have a couple teams in our league that can really shoot it.

Fortunately my kids play hard (although that is the expectation set).

We aren't very deep....obviously our NIL funds are extremely low. Hahahahaha

Well, I'll tell you I'm pretty firmly on the part ways with PM train these days.

I just feel like we have more big problems than just PM. We HAVE to fix the NIL discrepancy for any coach that is here and get better facilities. For starters..

None of us have any idea what that discrepancy is or is not this year though.

Our roster is not bottom 1/3 in the SEC. I always start there. Are we getting the most out of the talent we have? No? Then I don't really care about NIL or anything else.
