Shaka seems like an east coast guy. If he has the choice, I think he goes to GT or NC State.

Have some faith people. Geez, it's not like BCG is a savior and the only quality coach out there. Why couldnt he win at Kentucky if he's so DAMN good?? We'll be fine.

I truly believe Terry Evans would do an outstanding job and may be the best hire for various reasons. I would rather have Buzz right now just because of name recognition..but I don't think $$ will be an issue in getting him. He would come for $1.5 to $1.7MM cuz he knows OU takes care of their coaches if they truly perform.

Evans will be there if we miss out on some other potential candidates..so thats the beauty of it all. And you can get him for $500K or so.

I think people tend to forget that Gillispie actually won Co-SEC coach of the year his 1st year at UK, before flaming out in year 2 for many reasons which were about much more then just basketball.

That was his 3rd Coach of the year award, including the 2 he won at A&M during his 3 years there.

We won't hire another east coast guy. Fish out of water in these parts. If you don't have region ties forget it, this was Capel's problem. He didn't mesh with the AAU coaches in these parts and had to hire a cash slinger as an assistant coach. Once the cash slinger was gone so where the players.

Capel destroyed this program. 25 players signed, 14 where 1 or 2 year guys.
