Zo to Zona

For a kid that can go just about anywhere, unless I'm missing some connection, Zona is just a weird spot for him to end up. I know they have a good program, but they don't play in the toughest of leagues. He is from or spent time in Oklahoma, and has been playing out east. Everybody was worried that playing time might be a factor, and Zona will have tons of guards on campus. Just odd.

Hopefully we can land Shake.

I believe he is playing at Findlay Prep this year in Vegas. Miller is one hell of a recruiter.

Great talent but all over the place, literally. Dude has been at a new school basically every year....there has to be a reason behind that and it can't be real good. Just my opinion.

Give me Shake and I'm good.

I said he would not go to OU. He is a west coast kid, and please don't look into the transfer thing Zo is a great kid. He has never been in trouble.

I doubt OU gets Shake either. He seems to be headed to IU unless KU offers soon

Miller is one of the top recruiters in college basketball.

LK has seldom gotten these kids in the past so it's not a surprise. Would love for LK to reel in Shake but that looks like a pipe dream now.

Fortunately, they have made other offers and I'm confident they'll get some good players.

A nice run in the NCAA's would do wonders for recruiting, imo. First round exits are not what the elite players (besides NBA dollars) are looking for.

Hot program, Nike school, Miller is a very good recruiter.

West coast is the best quality of life. Miller has UA rolling. Ucla, Stanford, Washington, Oregon, UA, USC, etc ... Pac12 is awesome in all sports.

Yuck. I hated Arizona even before this bit of news, although that had more to do with the Loot Olson (Mr. Holier-Than-Thou) days. And, before anyone complains, I do know how he really spells his first name.

He may be a good kid, but red flags go off in my head any time a kid changes schools/teams as much as he has. Something is just not right when that happens. One change, okay. Two or more and I'm sorry, something is amiss!!! Hated to say anything while we were still after him. Now I can. JMHO

Bmd....im just calling it like it is. I never said he was a "bad kid"....but I coach for a living and if someone transfers as much as he has then something is up...either with the kid, parents, "advisors", etc. Noone moves around like that, other than military kids, without a reason.

Im not bashing him....just saying there is some kind of underlying factor.

Im not some bitter fan upset he went to Zona.....I never thought he was going to OU, but always wondered about all the moving around.

Tuscon is a 7 hour drive to any coast.
And the PAC 12 has been fairly horrendous in basketball recently. Not quite SEC bad, but bad.

I'm glad he committed this early so OU doesn't waste any more time recruiting him. I'm not sure the Sooners were ever serious contenders.

They were. Hey he's changed schools 4 times. He may decommit! Lol

Trier told ESPN.com that he chose the Wildcats over Washington, UCLA, Kansas and Louisville. No mention of OU.

As for him changing schools that just shows he's interested in improving and putting himself in a better environment. Certainly not a negative.

Certainly was a negative for Stevie Clark and Willie Warren.
