We are two games in and I am looking at a much much improved team over the past two years teams. I like a lot of the pieces we have and anticipate a real solid season.

Grooms is the most solid pg we have had in many years. He is bringing the ability to dribble drive effectively which is something we haven't seen in a while. He needs to quit shooting the ball and just manage the game though.

Osby is the real deal, I believe his inside game will develop as the season progresses and he gets more comfortable with his role.

Cameron Clark is a very streaky player, if he can figure a way to get his shot going consistently he has the athletic abilitiy to be a 2nd round NBA pick and/or stick for a while in Europe.

Blair needs less minutes, he obviously has not improved his ability to limit his turnovers. Shooting is very impressive and I do like it when he is on the floor with Grooms.

Newell seems to be moving up past Blair and will eat some of his minutes up.

Pledger is looking good, give me a game or two to see how I feel about him.

Neal, great improvement from last year, still another year away from making the next step. I like that he is working around the perimeter a lot. This will ensure we can get a buzzer beater shot off anytime we want to.

The rest of the guys have all improved greatly from last year.

Overall I am very impressed with the improvement in this team from last year. I feel we are a solid Bubble team and if we improve throughout the year we could easily make the tournament.

My starting lineup
PG Grooms
SG Clark
SG Pledger
F Fitzgerald
F Osby

Bench
6th man Neal
Newell
Blair
Washington
Arent
Honore

I'm anticipating we will play 11-12 throughout the season.

We should be better than last year. We lost Cade but everyone else is back and mostly playing better and we have added Arent, Osby and Grooms.

The only negative is that the last few wins we got last year were because of Cade who seemed to just will us to win.

Niether Kansas or Texas looks as strong to me as last year and Baylor and Missouriabout the same. K-State will miss the guards and OSU looks weaker.

We could do better than expected. Like what I've seen so far. Ball moves well and we are getting much better shots. Effort is good on D and the boards.

Tournament coming up should tell us more.

Without trying to slight Cade Davis in any way, it is readily apparent that every single aspect of the team has improved from last season [and we are doing it with Cam starting out slowly].

I like Neal and all, but I have seen nothing to make me think he is has greatly improved and should be our sixth man.

I feel like newell is the best candidate for the 6th spot. He is a bit selfish, but he creates his own shots, and has provided steady scoring of the bench. Neal could steal that spot if he minimizes his mental errors (turnovers).

Of course this team is better than last years and the year before. You're talking about an entire team returning minus one player with the addition of 3. Your talking about a team thats made up of mostly juniors and sophmores where the 2 previous squads were mainly SOs and Freshmen. Just like next years team will be better b/c we will return everyone again.

This team is going to benefit from playing a weak big 12.
