Offered by OU per Horace Neysmith (Georgia peeps guy). Not highly ranked per the big sites but seems to fit the mold as a long shooter. Watch this video which shows footage prior to August of 2011 (would have been mostly from the summer of his Frosh year).

Seems like the kind of piece we need...interchangeable on defense, good shooter.

Why would anyone go to Miami? There is hardly going to be a Miami after the NCAA is through with them.

sorry but Pledger and defense don't go into the same sentence...

Pledger's defensive has improved steadily in his 2 years under Kruger. Me thinks he would been fine if he had had 4 with LK.

I'm on board. Sign him up. Exactly the kind of guard, on paper, that we need.

Wonder if we'd also take the other guard in Texas that just decommitted from UCLA? Probably not, but I'd really like our guard talent for next year if we did.

I like his stroke. Everything he does appears to be smooth and almost effortless. At 6' 4" he definitely fits the mold of a Kruger shooting guard. Hope we get him!

Like MNSooner, I can't imagine why any kid would want to spend the next four years at Miami? When the NCAA dust settles on the Cains, they may be lucky to even have a basketball or a football program.

Thanks for the info, BT!

Found this February 14th article on Booker. This is the part that jumped out at me:

Booker has gone for over 40 points twice this year and can score points in bunches. His range is down right scary at times. Leave him open, pretty much anywhere past the midcourt stripe, and booker is likely to let it fly. They're not bad shots, it's something he practices every single day

There's more on his shooting from deep. Read the article and you'll see.

I like the way he creates openings for his shot with quick fakes and lateral moves. Pledger cannot do that. He also seems to see the court well.

Reminds me of Kevin Martin. Outstanding shooter, doesn't appear overly athletic but can score in bulk. Doesn't appear to dribble much either, makes me wonder how is ball handling is. But I like what I see. Get em Lon!

Something I've been very impressed with Kruger's time in norman is how much he works on players ball handling. If a recruit is even remotely decent at handling he will be fine in college. Seeing some of our non-PG upperclassmen seem so much more confident when bringing up the court has been night and day difference to last regime. I think 4 years of that kind of structure would do wonders.

Well, Kevin Martin has 3-4 inches on Booker. I did notice that over the last few years college players all began to play like thunder players. I wonder what happened.

Yes Martin is taller but both play SG/SF. Being in OKC, Thunder players are who I see the most and watching the video on Booker, Martin is the first player that comes to mind. I'm not saying Booker is the next Kevin Martin, just relating the style of play. Booker also seems like he might have a slightly awkward release too, although I am watching this on an iPhone. I can relate his game to Pledgers game if that's better. Booker seems to have a Better knack for creating his own shot, but Pledger is obviously playing against much much better competition. So it's hard to say what Booker will look like until we see him against the same caliber competition.

*Martin was also not highly recruited out of high school. Just thinking it would be nice if Kruger to find a gem everyone else overlooked.
