2014 player?

Buford is going to start... I assume. He is a star in the making.

I don't disagree, but there was a lot of confusion about where he would play. He isn't starting at the 3 next year. I just don't see us benching a guy like Cousins, sliding Hield to the 2, Buford at the 3, and having to find a new starter for the 4 out of the other new guys.

I think he will probably start at the four, but I could see him getting backup minutes to Hield in certain scenarios.

This is my thoughts also. If he is to start it has to be at the 4 where Cam is playing now. I could see him playing the 3 a little when we have 2 bigs in there at the same time, which I believe we will see more of next year. His future might be a full time 3, but right away, to me, he'll have to play the tweener role.

I hope you guys are right about Buford. I think he'll play a lot next year, I'm just not so sure he'll be ready to start at any position. We may know more after watching his game tomorrow afternoon.

Last night I asked Kruger about Lattin and his future position. I asked Crutch the same about Buford. Kruger called Lattin a 4/5 that would start out at as a 5 and, as skill and development dictated, would become a 4. Crutch called Buford a 3/4 and stated he compared pretty favorably to Clark. I take from what they said that we might be looking at a lineup, in time, of Buford at the 3, Lattin at the 4, and McNease or another big playing the 5. Gary has mentioned before that they will always have an athletic 4 not necessarily a power 4. I can't see that right now in Lattin but it would possibly make sense for Buford next season.

Buford at the "4"....

Wasn't Lon's son the first to use the graduate loophole when he went from Arizona State to UNLV?
