2017 PG Jordan Walker

Olden's stats don't overwhelm me, but he could have a lot of intangibles that don't show up in a box score. I assume he's a PG. Shooting mid-30's from the field, right at 30% from beyond the arc, and mid-60's from the free throw line are less than I want from my PG.

On the other hand, he must be decent if KU has shown some interest. He played a lot of ball at Pepperdine and made the all-WCC freshman team, and was playing well as a sophomore before season ending ankle surgery. I assume he was granted his medical redshirt and is playing juco ball as a 3rd year sophomore.

We could do a lot worse......

Oh trust me I gave him a lot of crap for those shooting percentages. He told me that he partially tore his rotator cuff the 1st or 2nd game, I can't remember which one it was.

He is more of a SG, but is a lanky kid who could play PG.

I am not saying they are going to offer him or that KU is. I just mentioned him as a name to consider going forward.

One of the reasons his overall numbers are down was lack of minutes, he said he got in foul trouble early in games.

So the kid is injured, can't shoot and fouls too much. Sign me up ? I'm kidding and I'm sure he's not a bad player but seriously it's hard to imagine our options if/when Trae goes to KU.

Oh I understand your first sentence. I was just adding information.

He was the newcomer of the year at Pepperdine as a freshmen and has been a late bloomer his whole life.

I am not sure they offer him or fully recruit him, I just know Bill Self called about him and so has OU now.
