2025 NCAA Tourney Bracketology

What about the new Fox postseason tournament? Anyone see that one yet? Think it might be B1G centric.
I think they're announcing in the morning.

Confirmed teams I've seen thus far: West Virginia, Boise, UCF, Nebraska, & Arizona State

I'd expect other B16/B12/BEast teams to play as well.....Ohio St, Cincy, Rutgers, whoever else.

Edit: I somehow skipped @ouboomer above. Oops.

That could be a really fun tournament

Oh hoiberg. ou makes ncaa tourneys.. Nebraska is trash forever.. feel free to come down this year or next

Amazing that anyone things the ncaa has a vendetta against OU basketball. Then again, people think the fictitious Big 12 and now SEC refs hate us.
Amazing that anyone thinks that there is no blueblood/money/ratings component or tiebreaker in the selection process of the " toonament". Then again, some people think that Trae Young's popularity had nothing to do with getting an 18-12 OU team off the bubble and into the field.

Wow a 9 seed. I don’t think UConn is a terrible matchup. They are better on the interior but almost everyone is. Florida is no bueno.

I am picking Florida to win it all. But, not picking them due to analytics. Don't agree with them. Shoot the first open shot available from acceptable 3 range and in. I agree with Sampson and Pitino, a 6-10 foot uncontested jumper is a better shot than a mugged layup. Take the layups and put backs if they are there, but the wide open stop and pop is 1000% better shot than contested shot at the rim. JMO. If the game was officiated the way the rules were written, I would have a different opinion. The vast majority of the physicality at the rim is just completely allowed and fouls are rarely called. Teams miss a ton of shots at the rim due to this issue and don't get the foul calls most of the time. In the meantime, teams have passed up 3-4 wide open midrange shots before getting a close in shot near the rim while being gang raped.

BTW, i am picking Florida due to their talent in the frontcourt and clayton. There are lots of frontcourts in the tournament with as much talent, but outside of Auburn/Pearl, Golden and Hurley are the only two coaches I have watched in the last couple of years that know how to use and teach offensive basketball to bigs. UConn's bigs this year, just aren't there yet. Golden's bigs are. Florida is beatable, but they will need to have a really poor game to lose.

as long as we have a committee selecting teams for post season the last team or teams left out will always cry foul and say this is injustice. Makes for a good couple of days for those with social media platforms for those teams to get lots of clicks and views.

I agree, especially for fans of those teams. But this looks like a clear conflict of interest haha considering WVU & UNC’s resume and the performance comp.

no doubt there's too much Bias for Blue Bloods , always has been and will continue to be especially with TV playing a major role in this.

That doesn't mean some of them don't have a better case than others.

I actually don't think it's TV. Duke and UConn wouldn't be in different pods at the same site, pushing Duke to the afternoon, if TV were pulling the strings.

It absolutely, 1000% is committee politics. We suffered in 2000 as a supposed sure at-large, when virtually every midmajor committee member had some ****ty at-large candidate from their conference and they didn't plan for a surprise SEC tournament winner.

I believe Bubba left the room for UNC talk. I also believe he stayed in for WVU talk and had been promoting out of conference strength of schedule for weeks. That just happens to favor, oh look, just happens to favor North Carolina! If you exert enough influence on the rules of the game, you don't have to bribe the refs.
