2026 Recruiting Class

Caya Smith also…so 3 Oklahoma recruits all rated in the top 100 in last 2 classes
And twice that many have said "nah" to OU. How many top 100 Oklahoma girls were there last year? I think 5 or 6, at one point. And OU got...*checks notes*...and not the 5 star from 3 miles from campus.

Oklahoma High School recruits and OU are no different than other places and girls. Below is a link to the ESPN top 100 for 2025. Review the list and you will find about 85% of the girls are going to schools out of state. You are stuck in a mindset from 25 years ago or longer...the reality is now girls go away from home a lot more than they stay close to home. And since OU resides in a relatively small population state with only slightly more than 1% of the US population we are lucky that is the case.

Yeah got the once in a generational player in chavez. But checks notes... keep crying.
Please quit moving goal posts. I am talking about in-state recruits, and it's a problem that OU can't get many, for some reason.

But create those strawman arguments for likes.

The only other girl I wanted OU to get was Hjelmstad. Parks and the girl from Edmond are basically point guards. The 2026 girl is not rated top 100. OU still has a chance for the girl in Moore. Hopefully next year, Minor.

it seems like she's just come up strong in the last AAU summer cycle, so maybe a bit of a darkhorse and underrated player. I've seen clips of her and she looks pretty solid to me. And she's got height, at 6'1" and the #1 oklahoman in her class.

She chose Arkansas. Good for her! Don’t think she’s the level of player we need to compete at the top of the SEC but wish her the best of luck at Arkansas!

I was hoping it was OU. Now that I think about it. I don't think she ever visited OU. OU was probably not even in the running. I would not be surprised if a parent went there.
