OU is following. Amina Muhammed(6'3"), Tionna Herron(6'5"), Sa'myah Smith(6'4"), and a 2-3 I like Kaley Perkins(6'1"). I still wish OU would go after Wynter Rogers(6'0") from Arkansas.

Following, like a lost puppy I bet. I no longer have any hope that we are ever going to land even 1 great player as long as Sherri Coale is driving this Titanic-like wreck of a program.

Exactly. Just because a program is "following" a player does not mean it equates to the player having interest in the program. Plus, OU WBB jumped on the social media bus late, so now they are utilizing social media more and acting like there is a possibility they have a chance with many of these players. Everybody is following the top 100! Well, they should be. Offering is a different story and the player having interest is necessary. But who they commit and sign with is the final story. OU has just been following folks in desperation. That salary with little results has gotten really good!

Ditto Bay, She has been late for everything for 15 years. Only thing I will say is this, which I highly doubt, If Coach Stiles, and Washington are actively pursuing said prospects, and staying in contact with them as they should be, well good for them, but as I said, I doubt it. The head coach needs to get off her dead A$$ and do some work. Looks like minimum one year of mediocre basketball, and after 17 years she won't be getting any of my money. I hope all the fans stay away and make a statement.

i think that the only thing that will get Joe C.'s attention is an empty gym on game night.

I’m starting to think I’d fans have higher expectations for the program then Joe C... it sounds like joe C was ok with OU being behind Baylor, then he must have been ok with us being behind Texas, maybe a top 3 finish and a trip to the dance was good enough, but now will he be ok, with us maybe getting more then 10 wins in a season, and falling behind, Baylor, Texas, TCU, Ok st, and WVa?

Not sure that will get his attention. Many of the home games are played in a darn near empty arena now.

Averaging well less than 1,000 per game actual butts in the seats per game is darn near an empty LNC and we have been seeing that for better than 2 seasons with the only exceptions being Texas, Baylor, UCONN and OSU.

Exactly. NORMALLY/compared to most programs...when the win record such as OU had STARTS a consistent decline, the losses are cut while they are ahead (before scraping the bottom of the conference). Minimally, the coach will take a reduction in salary with incentives built in to recoup that lost income...in other words, prove his/herself. Or the coach will move on to an administrative position and maintain some level of integrity.

This situation is completely ABNORMAL comparatively speaking. Some of us might remember when SC got her big raise along with all of the assistants. More than likely many bonuses were paid as well. Some may not realize that many top 20 players wanted to come to OU as late as the class of 2012 (sign or transfers) but were not able to get an offer and word traveled faster than the speed of light. A few top players signed along the way, most left and the wins slowly but surely decreased as the talent decreased. AND Baylor/others realized you need strong post players to compete at a winning level. The game continually evolves. A smart coach keeps up with and adjust.

The powers that be must have their hands tied behind their backs IMHO because what has occurred defies all business sense, marketing sense (no camps), human resources sense (nepotism) and competitive sense. And Austin (Director of Ops) is supposed to be a marketing guru, right? The team website still touts his duties to include the coordination of summer basketball camps... "Austin manages the team's finances, plans official visits for potential student-athletes and coordinate the summer basketball camps." They haven't had a basketball camp in at least 10 years.

There's a camp for every dang thing at OU (including wrestling and cheer) EXCEPT WBB. That's recruiting 101-A !! Everyone has a camp except Geno. If Mulkey is running a camp, every WBB program in the conference should as well if you want to compete at the top.

I became convinced that Spock was right last year when he said SC would complete her contract through 2023. The only thing one can clearly do at this point is send your financial support elsewhere and don't burn gas going to those games whenever they start up again. I saw this day coming when they were going to Final Fours. But I did think SC would have been gone on to an admin position by now. Go figure!

Do you use tarot cards or is the crystal ball your preferred method for seeing the future? :)

I've said this for several years, based on info from someone that deals with the athletic dept, SC must have some major "dirt" on a number of significant people at OU. I agree with you and Spock, SC is going no where other than to the bank to cash those big checks for her and junior.

The problem is, there are no better candidates to come here. OU does not have the money (as I too believe SC has something on some high-up people) to be able to pay a decent HC to come and replace her. They won't pay nearly what Coale is making now, so the talent pool for a new coach is very limited.
