A national championship is not out of the question.

Enjoy Sportscenter covering OU and Trae on a regular basis. Enjoy recruits that remember Buddy at OU, now talking Trae at OU. Enjoy loud sellouts at LNC with basketball gameday. Enjoy being a OU basketball fan seeing greatness on the court, a 3rd poy in 10yrs. There was so much less that would have made me happy with this season that it feels like Christmas every time I think basketball. Don't jump to the end, 3 more months of this :dance005:.

My fear is that this team is EXACTLY like the 2016 team that got boat-raced in the Final Four. Against good teams, and in big stadiums, the shooting % tends to not be as high. OU is very good this year, but it seems very deja vu-ish for me. I hope to be proven wrong, but we won't know until April.

I actually worry this team is more like the Oregon team that we boat-raced out of that same ncaa tournament in the Elite Eight. We are one of the 5 best offensive teams in the country, but our defense is going to cause us problems on off shooting nights. We've got to find a way to lock in defensively for 40 minutes if we want to think about a national championship.

A Big 12 championship, now, should definitely be in our sights.

To me that's the realistic goal. I wanna believe this is a Final Four team, I really do but I just don't see it without a better inside scoring presence.

Sadly I think we just might be there next year with the growth of McNease, Manek and perhaps even Polla if only Trey would stick around.

I'd love for this team to finally break the Jayhawk streak though and I think that's a goal that's attainable.

I agree with the enjoy the ride. Sure this team has some deficiencies. But instead of beating yourself up over the short comings, enjoy the good stuff.
