The Tiny Gallon soap opera and how it could affect the OU men's basketball program has been batted around for weeks. It's a legitimate topic of discussion, and one we will continue to allow members to talk about openly. One thing is for certain, no one can say they haven't had a chance to vent or express an opinion on this matter. Well, you can say it, but I'm not buying. lol

But, there has been way too much uninformed (and sometimes misinformed) speculation in more threads than I care to count in the past few weeks. Some of you have been over the top in expressing your views. You have even attacked other posters who may not see things your way. That's not the way we do things here, and it needs to stop.

Personally, I think it would be best if we wait to see how this plays out before jumping to any conclusions. To the best of my knowledge, no one on this board has a direct pipeline to the powers that be at OU, and you definitely have no way of knowing what the NCAA will do.

From this point forward, please avoid unsubstantiated accusations and finger pointing. If you have an inside track into how this investigation will turn out, by all means share it with everyone and post a link to prove you know what you're talking about. There is a major difference in offering an opinion and making off-the-wall claims that are not supported by facts.

Continue these discussions if you want. Just keep it real from now on. Thanks.

You underestimate me...

This is what I've been saying for the longest. None of you know the exact details of anything. BOOMER SOONER BABY!!!

thank you.

Gotta love people in denial. Just bury your head under the pillows and it will all go away.

For some people, you mistake a willingness to let the entire situation play itself out before passing judgment with denial. A good detective keeps an open mind until he finds out all of the facts. A bad one makes up his mind before all of the facts are in.

+1000!

Or wait for the facts and in the meantime hope for the best. What's so wrong with that? (answer: nothing).

You mean this situation. Because some of these same people who want this situation to play out don't let other situations play out before passing judgement. Or wait for all the facts. Right?

I agree with you though. The best thing to do is let situations play out before passing judgement. I wish we could all do that. Message boards would be a much better place.

WTH are you talking about?

I'm a reasonably good researcher but there are some folks on this board five times better so I would like to know:

A) What is the tuition, r & b at schools at prep schools like Oak Hill?
B) Are the athletes they recruit given full scholarships, partials, if not, what?
C) Can a prep school "hold a transcript" if a parent hasn't paid back tuition?
D) If they do such a thing, as a common practice, won't that hinder their ability to recruit low income students in the future?
E) Is it uncommon for the prep school itself to arrange financing for a student to pay back tuition?
