Accountability on this team?

I know I'm dating myself, but I could see Harmon growing into a "Jacque Vaughn" type of player. I don't know if Harmon will ever be the "distributor" that Vaughn was, but I'm confident he can be a better scorer.

Interesting comparison. Both listed at 6’ 1”, 190-200. They even wear the same jersey number (11).

I remember Jacque Vaughn well. He was a four years player at KU, and a good one. He also had a nice, fairly long career in the NBA. Can’t recall if it was as a starter or a backup, but he hung around for several years.

If Harmon is anywhere close to Vaughn’s level, I will be thrilled.

He started a little bit for Atlanta and the year he was with the Magic. I think he even got a ring while he was in San Antonio.

I agree I hope Harmon plays to a conference POY level, but sure hope he shoots better. Vaughn was like Gottlieb in outside shooting, and probably the reason he only averaged like 9-10 a game.

Good point about Vaughn’s shooting. That may be why he wasn’t drafted until after he finished his college career.

I think Harmon will be a better shooter before he’s through. For one thing, he’s the type of player who will work his tail off to improve in every facet of the game. Except for the low trajectory, his shot and his release don’t look that bad to me. His shot selection can use some work, and his tendency to give up his dribble and get caught in the air a little too much needs to be corrected.

He has the slowest shot in history
