have signed several bigs: Vivi, Treece, EJ, Mulkey. What's happened? Why now after so many disappointments? Is it one thing or one person? I wish SoonerSports would do for basketball what they do for softball and that is ask the signees why they chose Oklahoma. We might learn something.

I think the answer lies with Pam Decosta. Since Sherri doesn't use social media in recruiting, Pam at least knows the importance of moving into the 21st century and use the tools that the recruits expect the coaches to use, and apparently she does a fantastic job of selling the program. Once she can get a visit to the campus, I think Sherri can slam the door on the process. JMHO

Decosta has only been back on staff for about 3 years.
These days top players are getting ID'ed earlier and earlier and the cycle in recruiting them is almost 3 to 4 years.
And the players are verbaling earlier.
Look at Dungee, Llanausa, and Mulkey.

It seems you are saying Decosta could not be the difference, however, these players have visited and committed since Decosta got here, I think. I don't know one way or the other if she has made the difference, but do not get your point. Guess I am missing something.

it takes 3 years for most recruiters to make any kind of impact. Due to the cycle of recruiting, she needs to be involved with recruits for that whole cycle.

Decosta in year 3 is now showing off better returns in recruiting.
