yeah, Trae will be gone. Long gone. And who could blame him? For that reason I will take extra care to enjoy every minute he's on the floor in C&C.

What happens next year? Harmon wont be here until 2019 and that will leave us with one point guard next season.

But he's gonna be a good one.

Lost amidst the Trae shuffle has been the further development of Jordan Shepherd's game. Compared to last season when he was literally thrown to the wolves his sophomore improvement has been substantial. He has made strides in fg% (up 18%), 3fg% (up 12%), apg (+1), and even a 2% rise in his ft%.

Of course he's had some pressure taken off and sophomores usually make a lot of improvement - but his game is changing also. He's even more apt to drive that open lane if flashed to him (he did it last season too) and his passing has improved. I see Trae's influence opening up his game offensively and his defensive positioning is much better than last season.

So while we'll be missing Trae and will need a backup at the 1 I think the starting job will be in good hands with Shepherd. He'll be a well-experienced and savvy upperclassman with a good game and a lot of pieces around him.

It's good to be a Sooner basketball fan these days.

I do like his game as well. I hope he can continue that next year when he is more relied upon as opposed to coming off the bench.

If Trae goes, then the Katy Tx guard that signed in Oct. will get a lot of PT, because he is a good passer as well as defender.

I'd expect us to go hard after Grad transfers if Trae leaves, which you have to expect he would.
