Allonzo Trier leaving state

Re: Assonzo Trier leaving state

OU's offered but he isn't going to OU.

Could really score it. Several folks quitting his AAU team bc of him.

I followed him so I'm aware of the talent. Having followed him I'm also aware of the baggage. Like others have said, he wasn't coming to OU. To me this just closes the book, slams it shut if you will (or if you won't)

Have heard he will be a qualification risk when it's all said and done

Too bad for him if what you heard is true. But, it won't be the first time or the last a talented kid like Allonzo focuses his attention on basketball and fails to keep his grades up.

I thought he was homeschooled.. how do you not pass homeschool???

he was and people are making things up about grade risk.

he was however a big time scorer and a ball hog. but he was good...and they won more games with him ball hogging than they would if he shared the ball. but you can imagine what the other parents had to say

It's not about passing homeschool... It's getting and act or sat score higher enough to get into college. The NCAA somewhat cares about that, they don't care about where your piece of paper comes from...

There are issues about his scores being high enough to get in.

thank you. Ever think there might be a reason for home schooling?

I don't know that.. The reason in Okla is bc he played as an 8th grader vs ok Hs teams and its an OSSAA violation.

I'm assuming that he is leaving to play Hs ball somewhere.

I have heard he might be much older than guys in his grade. That is just something I have heard and haven't had verified.

My high school had a Golfer, that played Varsity in 7 and 8th grade. He did not play his 9th and 10th grade year on the team due to grade issues then playe dhis junior and senior year. If I understood what he told me he could play 4 years of varsity but only 4 years.

That is correct. 4yrs only

I'm sure he and his mother are following the money train. It was never explained how a kid from Washington moved to OKC to be homeschooled and then moved to Tulsa.
The kid has talent but where there is smoke there is fire.
