Is it just more or does it seem like OU didn't give very much nice this year for the subject? I think it was announced last week that the festivities are this weekend. BUmmed b/c I'm not sure I can make it with such short notice

Probably need to stop having it every year now. It's kind of gotten repetitive. Every other year would probably be a good balance.

The Friday activities (golf tournament; dinner; auction) are significant fund raisers for the Tip In Club and the Wayman Tisdale Scholarship Fun. Also, the former players look forward to having this "reunion" each summer. For these reasons, it is highly likely that these events will continue to be held each year.
