Amath declaring for NBA draft...

I don't really agree with this

I concur. The only thing M'Baye has on Clark is 3 inches in height. Is MBaye a better shooter? No. A better rebounder? No. More athletic? No.

Only thing he has on Clark is maybe a few more blocked shots? Seriously what did M'Baye do that Clark can't in the same amount of minutes?

I'm not, if you don't think we can win more that 15 games you have no business commenting on basketball

Agree with this. We've had some bad teams under Capel and Krugers first year, and he still found a way to win 15 games. With the progression of current players, I think Kruger would find a way for us to at least finish .500 on the season.

With good progression of guards, and optimal upside of guys sitting out this year, and possibly another juco big, we could tack on a few more wins.

The way non-conference is set up, and now 18 conference games with 2 games against all the weak teams in conference, it's not as hard to win 15 in a season.

I think this may change the recruiting strategy a bit.

I wonder if we take two post guys now (no transfers) and hope one of them pans out.

Not a terrible decision if he wants to play for money. If he doesn't make an nba roster, he can go overseas.

If? Look at all the guys that don't make NBA rosters every year. This is a kid that needed to work his ass of this summer to be productive in the Big 12. And don't think that playing overseas is a given. There are a lot of talented players over there. Bigger, older, more seasoned. He has a long ass way to go.

Hopefully his scholarship will go to good use.

Upon learning of his degree, his age, and his completed goals, I must say that I'm not as frustrated about it as I was initially. I can honestly say though, that what a huge let down for Sooner fans this guy turned out to be. Thinking of his performance this year I remember a whole lot more fouls and ill-advised outside shots than tough inside play and rebounding. That said, best of luck and thanks for being a Sooner.

Do you think that Lon and Co didn't know that Amath was planning this for a while now ? I'm assuming he did and has been planning on replacements - it's not like Amath exploded suddenly out of nowhere forcing this decision.

According to what Kruger said today in his media availability, they were taken by surprise by this. It doesn't sound like it is something that they knew was coming.

This sucks bad b/c even though I didn't believe we would be good...there was a small chance..and that small chance just left the building.

We get it. We're gonna suck. Capel got a raw deal. Really, we get it.

Not sure why it sucks for him because he thought we were gonna be bad before. And why he chose to hang all his hopes for success on M'Baye is a bit baffling to me as well.

This^^^^^^

Amath needed to work on his 3point shot and his low post shot with three men on him.....:facepalm

He really needed another year to mature and learn basketball. Kruger would have been great for that. He also needed to learn better dribbling skills.

Good luck to him and I hope I'm wrong,.... that he gets to play pro ball.

Good bye USA hello Greece or Turkey. The guy can't play in the B12 much less the NBA.
