Another Kruger Collapse?

We completely collapsed down the stretch last season. I was preparing to point out that no way we should lose at OSU. Never in a million years did I consider us losing to Texas Tech at home. I'm in Palm Springs on a golf trip & didn't even watch. What the heck happened? I see buddy couldn't throw it in the ocean.

Surely we're not going to fade like last year all the way down to the bubble.
 
We played a terrible terrible game and still almost came back to win. It's just a learning experience for the guys and I still think we have a real good chance at going 5-1 the rest of the way. Just have to win Saturday and everything will be right back on track.

Nothing this team does down the stretch will be a collapse. This team has already given more than expected. They are fighting through having a short bench and fatigue. They are playing the same way they have all season but last night they weren't making shots until it was too late. This team is still young and we basically are playing with 1 post player.

Just b/c you perform above expectations doesn't mean you can't collapse.

And I disagree about a short bench.

This league is tough and our team is young. Kruger is a great coach but so is Tubby Smith and so is Huggins. This team isn't collapsing..we just lost.

Where you playing? Any course pics?
 
This team wasn't expected to only win 7 conference games. They haven't already won more than was expected, just more (not not much more) than was expected so far.

Is this now an established scientific phenomenon----the Kruger Collapse?

I don't remember hearing about this before. Who was the first to discover and name it? Is this a part of a local galaxy, like the Knight Black Hole?

How is buddy going 1-13 a Kruger collapse? how is Woodard going 1-7 a Kruger collapse. He CAN'T shoot the ball for them. two of our best shooters had an off night at the same time. Can't do that in this conference and win, and it is something nobody, not even Kruger, could have expected.

We were going real well until the 4 minute timeout. Then we didn't seem to have the same energy when Kruger put Spangler, Buddy and Woodard back in the game. Of course, that is what he should have done but Buddy and Woodard still didn't get it going.

Great effort though by Cousins and Hornbeak. Glad to see Hornbeak contributing.

Agreed. It's going to be rare that Hield and Woodard both play that poorly. We also made a lot of uncharacteristic mistakes throughout the game. Hopefully Kruger can address those. I hope we can play better against an aggressive defense like Tech showed, otherwise we'll see a lot more pressing.
