PGA West. Nicklaus today. Stadium tomorrow.

Nice... the wife and I are going to the Sandals resort in the Bahamas and I plan on playing the Emerald Reef course that Greg Norman designed. Really looking forward to that.

I'd like to do a Florida golf vacation as well.

Just have to avoid making TCU 1-17 again to avoid the collapse. As bad as they are they will be desperate if they are 0-17 at home again for their last game.

This league is tough and our team is young. Kruger is a great coach but so is Tubby Smith and so is Huggins. This team isn't collapsing..we just lost.

Eh. I don't like the young description. Cam is essentially a 4 year starter. Spangler has been in college ball for 3 full years almost. Buddy, Cousins, and Hornbeak have nearly 2 full seasons. And you always hear coaches say around this time that there aren't any freshman.

KU is young. UT is young (two juniors on the entire roster, everybody else is a frosh or soph). KSU is a tiny bit older, but still has a lot of youth, including their best scorer who is a true freshman. WVU is pretty young.

Our guys have played enough that "youth" isn't really an excuse to lose a game like that. Especially to a TT team with so many new faces.

Last year we ended up winning 6 of the last 10 regular season games with the one bad loss against TCU. But won 4 of the previous 5 before that. We probably got into the NCAA Tourney because of how we played later that year. If we win 4 of the next 6. That's 22 regular season wins. We are in the NCAA Tournament.

Another clown post from Capelfan, er I mean Krugerfan... :facepalm

TCU also beat KU last year so they were more than 0-17 when OU came to town. In fact, if I remember correctly, they had 2 or 3 wins when we rolled into town.

It's hard for you to be positive isn't it? I guess it's not because you were positive when we had nothing to be positive about except the prospects of Nick Thompson. Now that we have a tourney appearance under our belt and unless we have a monumental collapse we are tourney bound again you can't be positive about anything?

Well, I guess I'm glad we didn't lose to Tech in OT so we don't have to suffer thru another thread of yours about OT losses... :facepalm

Spangler averaged 5.7 mpg as a freshmen in conference play..didn't play last year. So Spangler is young.

And you're right about the teams in this conference...They are all really young. But just because the rest of the teams in this league are young, doesn't take away from the fact that we have a young team.

You're not entirely wrong in what you said. Everyone on our roster this year except Neal and Clark will be back next season. All except one returning player (Bennett) will have at least two more years to play. Woodard and Booker will have three. That's before our three freshmen signees get here this summer.

If the only element being considered is experience, I suppose you could say that this is a veteran team. But, anytime all but one member of your roster will be around two more years after the current season, that's young to me.

How can you call a team with 6 of its top 8 players as sophomores and freshman anything but young? OU has one more upper class man than UT. OU has Bennett, Neal and Clark as juniors and seniors. Texas might be slightly younger but OU is a young team. KU actually has more upper class man on its roster. They play a lot of young guys and I wouldn't dispute calling KU young. However, I don't get saying OU isn't a young team.

Now I will be the first to say that I am not the sharpest knife in the draw or the brightest bulb in the box, but didn't Lon take this very young team to the Big Dance last year? What a collapse compared to the previous big dances old what's his name, you know the one they fired, took us to.
