WV got crushed 84-50.

Are the Zags that good or 'Neers that bad?

I don't know the answer to that, but I'm REALLY looking forward to possibly playing Gonzaga in the Old Spice. I think that will really let us know where we are, and it gives us a chance for a big win early in the season.

The officials were very whistle happy in the first half and both teams were in the one and one before the 10 minute mark. WV looked like a team with very little playing time together and it showed and their outside shooting was awful last night. Lots of work and time for them is needed before they start to gel. Also credit to Gonzaga , they are a salty team with good guards that can fill it up from 3 pt land, play agressive defense and crash the boards. And they have plenty of size to play down low which will require some double teams which leaves those shooters open. Gonzaga could have another deep run in March.

Gonzaga looks very physical inside and they can shoot as usual. That Polish freshman they have is stout- that's a big boy. They looked quick and swarming, but WV's guard looked slow and confused. It's really early though.

WV kept jacking up 3s, when they're not a very good 3 point shooting team and for some reason they refused to go inside, at least when it was still a game.

I really didn't expect WVU to be good this year after losing their two best players in Kevin Jones and Truck Bryant. Jones was a stud and the heart and soul of last year's team.

Kilicli, at 6' 9" 260, is a hoss inside. But he looks and moves like a lumberjack in trying to keep up with teams that play an up-tempo game. OU may not win in Morgantown. But if we push the ball like the highlights show the Zags doing, Kilichi's effectiveness will be neautralized.

I thought wv was playing tough D at the beginning to keep their terrible shooting in the game. But the quick fouls forced them to play more zone and the Zags took advantage with that. And wv couldn't keep up since they shot so poorly and had a bunch of turnover.

WVU isn't that bad and this is probably one of Gonzaga's better teams under Few.
