We looked the worst that we have all season, tonight. I've been ragging on Woodard the last two days, but my God he looked even worse tonight. I hope some finally realize that we are going to have to cut his minutes, big time, if we want to get wins in this league. Cousins & Hield are both capable of running the point. Look for Woodards minutes to go way down against Hickey and osu.

Caught parts of the OSU game during timeouts and after our game. DVR'ed it, and skimming through it now. Statline shows that the pokes forced Kansas into 16 turnovers. Looks like there were a lot of fouls on both sides, KU shot 46 free throws. From the game stats, it looks like OSU stuck to their guns and fought it out. I also saw on twitter that Forte was injured in the early second half, don't know what he hurt or how bad, but he only had 2 points in the 2nd half, after scoring 16 in the first. Looks like they may have pulled an upset if Forte didn't get hurt. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that he will be back against us...

I know that many thought this cowboy team would struggle, but they've been playing good ball the last couple weeks, and I'm getting nervous! This week was huge for us after last Saturdays loss. A split I can live with. Losing both, and we are in some serious trouble going forward.

If you like turnovers then Buddy or Cousins at PG will work, otherwise JW is the best option. I understand people are upset with JW, and that he is a easy target since he is struggling shooting the ball, but Buddy, Cousins and Walker are TO machines vs pressure. Bookers head appears to be elsewhere and is not even a viable option for meaningful minutes at this point. The team really needs a 2nd ball handler, unfortunately Walker does not appear to be that guy. As for the OSU game, I expect to handle them solidly in Norman and I expect a very tough game in Stillwater.

I agree and I think the only short term option is for JW to get better and not freak when he is presented with pressure. Other than that, I don't have an immediate answer.

I am not worried about OSU. I am worried about OU.

OSU shot 31%, scored 57 points and lost by double digits. They aren't any good. Forte wasn't hurt. He just cramped up some because he's 5'6".

But we aren't that good either. We won't have a talent advantage over any top 60 team. We'll split those games at best.

Seemed like it was Turnover City all around tonight

It was but JW only had 2 of them. In reality though, he was very close to several others, he seemed to get weaker with the ball as the game went on. Even with that said, it was painfully obvious that he is the best ball handler by a mile.

I firmly believe JW has the tools to get the job done, but he has had a tough season overall and his confidence has been severly damaged. Confidence is an amazing thing.

No, I'm not "worried"...it's a basketball game. I'm more worried about the price of crude and whats to happen in the near future.

Well it just goes down as a L and nobody really expected them to win at WV. Kruger has Osu number and that won't change Saturday. We win by 10 and Woodward will turn this around just a slump happens to college kids.

He was dealing with leg cramps. He should be back and fine on Saturday.

Adjusted for inflation for the 30 years prior to us disrupting supply in the Middle East with our invasion of Iraq causing an artificial price bubble the price of crude futures traded between $30 and $70. More than enough supply has come online to adequately cover increased demand from emerging markets so now that the supply disruptions in Iraq, etc are easing we will trade in that range. Short term we will see 30s until new drilling is reduced enough to to decrease the current glut. Only then will crude futures find their footing.

Good to hear. I obviously want to beat you guys, but having gone through injuries myself, I wouldn't wish for anyone to get hurt.

I ended up skimming through and watching the whole osu @ KU game on the DVR... Regardless of what some have said in reply to my 1st post, the cowboys are going to be a tough out. They are undersized, but they play great full court defense. Forte played about 10 minutes on a bad limp in the second half, and I stand by my statement that they probably would have won if he wasn't hobbled. If we can not figure out how to break a press, we are in for a tight game.

Osu is not a "bad team", we better get that through our heads. I looked back on their schedule and what looked like a joke, is now ending up being some quality wins. TU is arguably ours, as well as osu's best non-conf win. They've won something like 6 in a row, and just beat Uconn last night and are in the lead of the American. Osu also curb stomped Oregon State, who is now 11-4 and just beat Arizona.

Some of you can bash them all you want, be my guest. But when it is a nail biter on Saturday, we better be happy as all get out to get a W in any shape or form, because they are playing better than us right now.

Interesting. I enjoy your contributions to the board, boca.

Playing any golf this winter? I bought some new Callaway Mack Daddy wedges, a new Taylormade driver, and made a length modification to my Yes! putter to help me go with a new putting style similar to the one used by Matt Kuchar.

Gearing up for the new year.

Have not golfed in a while but been thinking about it. I've been in a cycling, hiking, hooping phase for a while. Sounds like you got some good new sticks to fire! I do need to pop over to Palm Springs sometime soon. Will probably go skiing first.

Since I can't control the outcome of the game or the price of crude, I'm just going to relax and enjoy the rest of my week

Yes I am always worried about them. I pray to God everynight that he has mercy on their souls and saves them from eternal damnation

That brought a chuckle, but I'm afraid it's a little late for the Cowboys. I hear Napoleon has already made a deal with Beelzebub that will seal the fate of every player on that team.

I live in Tulsa, so I haven't been doing anything outdoors... Need to get out and do something though. Supposed to be upper 50's this weekend so I will probably go play golf.

I am excited about the wedges and putter, for sure. Looking to take that next step in my game. I am normally shooting 77-81 but would like for it to be 74-79 more regularly.
