I know we got Avila from the jucos but I'm really hoping we can get a transfer that can play immediately from D1. I know Moser from UNLV, Memphis PF and a guy from FSU have been mentioned. Anything new?

If OU could bring in a transfer that had to redshirt next season, what type of player do y'all see as the biggest need?

Probably a post. And more specifically, probably a post in the mold of M'Baye (the stretch 4 type).

That said, if we go that route, he better be a darn good player, b/c it would only leave us with one more scholarship to give in next year's class.

I think the plan is and should be to find a one and done senior for next season. He fills a need and doesn't tie up a scholarship beyond 2014.

Hale said last week that OU coaches were showing some interest in Arkansas transfer, Hunter Mickelson. Mickelson is a 6' 10" 245 junior to be out of Jonesboro. I have no idea why he is leaving the there, or if the interest is mutual? It's also possible any move in that direction might have been before Avila signed with the Sooners.

That said, if we bring in a transfer who does not fit the description of the one and done player colston15 mentioned, I would think that our greatest need would be a scoring wing. The only small forward type we've got on our roster in the 6' 6" to 6' 7" is Cam Clark. With him gone after next season, we'll have to rely on a true freshman or a juco player in the 2014 class to fill that void.

I have no real reason behind this than what CLK seems to be recruiting towards, but I think we are a three guard and two big team in the future. A traditional small forward that is good is tough to find, but extremely valuable if you do.

Jarion Henry still thinks he's coming to OU. Not sure how that's gonna work out unless he's gonna walk on if we sign a transfer.

I don't think Henry is coming to OU.

But if he does, we might not know as much about Cole's scholarship situation as we all think. Maybe his is capable of getting a full academic ride, or something similar. Just guessing.

Agreed. I think if LK finds a versatile player, he'll be more inclined to play him at the 4, than the 3. My preference is to not recruit guys like that. Guys like Cam. Nothing against Cam, but he isn't really good enough at anything to be a starter at the 3 or the 4. I'd like to see us play guys like Hield at the 3 spot, and guys like Taylor Griffin/M'Baye/Osby at the 4, with a bigger 5 that can rebound and defend.

I am craving some news on an instant impact D-1 Transfer!!! Anything new?!

True skilled SF's are SO difficult to come by.

I would LOVE for us to get a guy like Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.

Obviously we probably wouldn't get a guy as talented as him.

But just someone who can DO IT ALL.

A nice 6'7, long, athletic wing who is a GREAT defender and can defend multiple spots, can play inside and out, and give us reliable scoring.

Cam Clark is close to that, but just can't quite get over the hump it seems.

Leyton Hammonds, but we missed on him as well....

Maybe Cole wasn't promised a scholarship, but just a chance to tryout for a scholarship?

Just how many D1 impact transfers who can play next year without sitting out are there?

You all talk like there are 20 or 30. Who are they?
